A dealer informed me today it looks like the model year 21 vehicle will increase $1,800. I did not get a chance to query him on the details of the increase, but I’m hoping that means some additional options are being rolled into the standard configuration. Anyone else hear anything?

? Are you suggesting msrp is unknown at this point? Or that I’m trolling with my post?

I don't know about any of the above, but I do like that you mention "post", Cliff Clavin! ...and probably Norm does, too.

Didn’t mean to upset, was really just commenting on how I wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche increased the price on an unchanged car.

Nope, didn’t upset. Just trying to understand the post. I read in another thread that Canada had updated their website and pricing with inclusion of items like comfort access. Hoping this accounts for some of the price migration, but it could be just an increase as you intimitated.

My dealer (in the US) that the 21s will have comfort access as std. Maybe other additional items.

Default 992 Targa

Kindly what about the Targa. I have seen the 992 Targa testing on the racetrack, extreme weather testing in the Snow, and this has been going on for years/months, but am still wondering, when will the Targa be announced?

Thankyou,
Mark

I posted this in another thread. It's likely another sign of things to come with the 2021 . . .

I've been playing around a bit on the Canadian and UK configurators (damn Covid) and something interesting has popped up on the UK site. In addition to full leather, Sport-Tex and Club Leather, there's a new option . . .
Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interiors - for £7,899 ($8,760)! That number's all that much more crazy because full leather is a zero cost option on the UK C2S I'm configuring (it costs almost $4k in the US).

I don't know what you'll get for that kind of money. If you click on any of the new interiors, a message pops up - "Option not selectable because of existing blocking dates". So it appears that they're a placeholder at this point. But whatever they are, they're more combinations of the same pretty boring interiors currently available. They're all two-tone . . .
- Slate Grey with Black
- Iceland Green with Slate Grey
- Mojave Beige with Graphite Blue, and
- Chalk (Crayon in the UK) with Bordeaux Red

So for those of us hoping that something more interesting was in the works, we may be disappointed.

Edit: I looked again this morning, and the the four Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior swatches have been taken down. I'm sure it's something that's in the works, but it appears that someone realized that they had made it to the UK site prematurely. Similarly, all the new options added to the Canadian configurator (see this thread) have been removed as well.

If that's true I would rather keep my current 2020 build, take delivery in Sept, and drive my car for 4+ months rather than waiting on a 2021.
I feel like in the past the dealer would be selling next model year cars sometime in 4q, this seems like it would be a few months delayed from that happening...

I'm with ya. I'm surprised that they skipped the Targa and went right to the high end of the non GT cars - the Turbo S. It would be nice if they'd surprise us with a Targa introduction while we're hunkered down at home.

I ordered a 2021 today and Base price for a c2s went to 115,100; the only change I see is comfort access being standard. I had optioned CA in my original build (2020 config) and the msrp went from 134890 to 136,150. So it’s an increase of 1,260.. I don’t see any addition new standard features.

estimated delivery in oct

Can you tell me how you did the configuration? Did a dealer have to do it and then come back with a price?

I think that standard Comfort access is the only difference with 2021 cars. It's a shame that Lane Change Assist didn't become standard as well. Both features should have been standard with the car at launch.
