Default BOSE rattle from Germany

Hey dear community,

I am from Germany, found this awesome board, much more helpful than
the german boards.

Got a 992 in Sep19 and experienced the BOSE rattle since the beginning. (see attachment)
2 appointments in the German dealer, but they couldnt solve the rattle.
Porsche Stuttgart told them to exchange the whole sidepanel, which they did, no help.
Thereafter my dealer was told, that there is no other solution and a lot of 992 have it.

So for now there is no fix. Was wondering how the US is different, I feel you have much better
after SVC then Germany, anybody with an idea?

Thanks and best regards from Germany

Mine had a blown driver side speaker. Once the speaker was replaced, the vibration dissappeared. Others on the board had to find and dampen vibrations from the side panel. There is a nice tear down with pictures where the OP describes the source of the vibration and the fix.

Just to reiterate, my sales associate said they were fixing vibrational noise from the speakers with sound deadening material inside the door panel. Some reported blown speakers, too, so it may be a mix of issues.

Hi Cjark

Welcome to Rennlist!

Was wondering, do you have any recommendation for some German forums specialized in 911? which ones are the best?

Thanks (sorry for being off topic).

sounds more like a bad driver (blown speaker) than a rattle.

Willkommen in der Gruppe und ich hoffe, Sie werden oft besuchen. Bitte entschuldigen Sie mein Deutsch, da es nicht sehr gut ist.

Ich habe es vor langer Zeit am College studiert.

Agree with the above - blown woofer. I have two on a brand new car - noted at delivery! Awaiting Covid-19 'peak' in the USA to pass before replacing.

OP, I know that sound all too well. Must have been some sort of bad Bose speakers or incompatibility with the amplifier unit or ... ???

I just fixed my rattling issue today with dynamat xtreme. My speaker would rattle like that when driving. Ill send you a picture tmmr, I have to take my doors off again to snap the picture as I forgot to take a picture after doing my doors. But my speaker didn't rattle constantly like that when playing music, so yours may be a blown speaker.

They changed my right door speaker, problem
not solved.
Now they said they want to change the door!
Yes, THE DOOR! I refused.. you do understand its painting involved and much others. I
preffer not.. music on low volumes in some particular melodies and problem solved
