I drove about two hours yesterday to and from Los Angeles- when I got out of the car I noticed a faint sweet smell and figured it was a coolant problem on another car that's parked close to mine. I went down today to go get food and there was a huge pool of coolant waiting there for me. Only 1,200 miles on my car, too. Normally NBD but I expect more from a brand new car and the whole pandemic makes it a lot more frustrating to take care of.

Yep :/ Sucks. I actually was looking through the forums to find an answer and seems like a common issue on the 991.2's and the 992 shares the same parts I believe (I could be wrong but I think that's what I read) I also saw one of your comments on there also about the 991.2! I had a feeling you were going to comment. Anyway, it's pretty frustrating.

I feel for you!!! . Under these circumstances, it wouldn't be unreasonable at all to ask the dealer to come tow your car (you can't drive it not really knowing what's leaked, whether safe to drive) absolutely free of charge. You shouldn't have to risk/compromise car further by driving it, nor should you put yourself at health risk (never mind the inconvenience) of having to violate stay at home order during this pandemic by taking your car to dealer. That looks like AT fluid or engine oil, either way could cause damage if you drive. Whatever that fluid is, it should be in the car, not the ground so obviously car is at risk by driving IMO (caveat not a car expert at all). If you needed/wanted a loaner, they should deliver one to your house as well (disinfected)!! Free of charge.

On my 991 turbo I went over a pothole in a parking lot and had the same thing happen. There is a fluid line that runs very close to the rear axel and the pothole bumped the assembly and kinked the line. If that is what it is, It's an easy fix but definitely annoying.

Most all Porsche dealers have launched free pickup and delivery programs for service issues (IF the center is open) so they should come to you and drop off a loaner.
I'm on the board of a company that provides software to most porsche service centers and for 90 days we turned the pickup and delivery coordination feature on for all porsche dealers on our system and I believe most are taking advantage of it.
