The windows also roll up a bit when you open the doors. I've always assumed this is to protect the window from rattling around inside your door frame when you slam it shut. I haven't noticed the windows rolling themselves up without me opening the door though, and they roll back down when the door closes in my experience. I probably have not tried every permutation of the process though.

Not a T thing. It’s a 992 thing, across the board.
