Anyone else find it odd the car highlighted has PS4S fitted to it?

Maybe Michelin is planning a waitlist for their tires and charging ADM. 🤪

Interesting...I don't see any date in that video, but I'd guess it was made fairly early after the 992's release (e.g. a long time ago). That that seems to prove that Michelin has the capability to produce our rear tires, but for some reason hasn't released them to the market. Seems like the rational must be that they can't for some contractural reason (e.g. Pirelli and/or Goodyear, knowing they'd never sell a replacement tire to we 992 owners if there was a PS4S on the market, stipulated in their development contract that Porsche must not OK the release of the Porsche-approved OEM size PS4S for x number of years/months)...?? Follow the $$...

I’m betting Michelin could knock out a non-oem tyre, no N label or anything, we’d all buy them.
I bet it’s contractual, “you spit out a tyre that size, no more Porsche stamp on your tyres as we have an agreement with GY and P so they can mark up the branded 992 tyres”
the non-oem tyres on other cars are fine, stuck non-bmw PS4S on my M5, soooo much better than the Pirelli pzeros that it came with, same size but a bit chunkier width so don’t look stretched like the old tyres.

Even more annoying. The “new” Panamera Turbo S is fitted standard with PS4S tires. 🤷🏼♂️

COVID caused havoc in the supply of specialty/premium tires. They were not going to short their volume customers in order to make these tires. Their competitors had the same issues with limited labor available to staff the plants. Hopefully we will see them make an availability announcement this winter for spring delivery

I put the Michelin SC2’s, 315’s and no issues at all with rubbing. I’ve tracked it twice with these tires and they are much better than the PZero. No comparison. 992 C4S w/ 7 speed MT
Marks on the fender is from punting a cone. It has PPF so it's fine.
