Bit of background:
I'm coming from a black 991.1 Turbo S and black 991.2 C4S Cab. I like fun & spirited driving as much as quiet and comfortable commuting. The cab was a childhood dream - but I could never decide driving open or closed; hence traded it for the 991.1 Turbo S. Weather in my area is moderate (sea climate) - 4 wheel drive was never necessary but I like the look of the wider rear. I also like technology / connected stuff - so a 992C2S coupe was the obvious choice for me.
Options:
I got most of the performance options (RAS, SPASM, SC, PSE, FAL) and also went for black wheels on chalk body with the clear tail lights. Interior I went for comfort (Full leather, 18way, ACC, LKA, LCA, CA, Seat heat/vent, GT st wheel/heated).
General - I don't have a red interior with yellow seat belts but I'm lovin it! Car is quieter and more comfortable than my 991.1 - but can be switched to harsher and louder with a couple of clicks. Power is plenty, 18 way seats are really comfy and heating/ventilation works well. The obscured dials are annoying - I'm still getting used to it - but most of the data you need can be on the 3 inner dials. I'm now looking at range more than the fuel gauge. I got the 90 Liter (~24 US Gallon) fuel tank. Range is well over 500 miles with combined city/highway driving. About the nubbin - it works well to move in an out of reverse/drive and has a nice solid feel to it.
Exterior - Car looks awesome and I like the contrast with the black bits (roof/logo/fenders/etc.) The clear tail lights work really well on chalk - I can recommend that. I also went for the black logo and model delete. It looks very clean - I think logo in chrome would also look good though. I have the standard front - I did consider the the SD front but I have a lot of speed bumps and other road challenges. Combination SPASM + SD will scrape and although FAL is great I can't and don't want to drive around town with FAL up all the time The FAL option is worth it though for back roads and ramps - it gives peace of mind so you can focus on surroundings and not just worry about scraping.
Surround view - it is very nice for parking in the middle of a box. However I find the system a bit too aggressive - my parking entrance is fairly narrow and when the long tone comes in then I know I'm close but I'm always close so it is not helpful. The parking sensors worked better for me on the 991.1. I looked around in the menu to find a setting for this - but other then tone volume I don't see anything?
Matrix lights - these look good on the car and (based on just 1 hour in the dark) they work well. It feels like driving with high beam on - all the time. Last night I drove on a highway with plenty traffic and it identifies the road signs and illuminates that without blinding anyone around.
FAL - very nice and works well up to 35km/h (22mph) - it also works well when approaching a ramp or other obstacle at low speed (don't have to stop to use it). System is quick and the extra clearance is more than plenty.
SPASM - my tires are at 38/41 psi (front/rear). That is high - but it is still comfortable in normal mode. There is a big difference in sport mode - but even that is acceptable on a interstate/highway. I'll try comfort pressure later.
Traction - I'm coming from 4 wheel drive so I should expect a more playful car. Did a few highway on/off ramps for the expected fun. However the car feels planted with no sliding or other drama. But weather here has been dry and I have not really pushed it as I'm still in break in (500 miles now). Dealer recommended 'gloves on' first 1000 miles).
Bose/Radio - I had burmester in the 991.1 - the bose does sound like a step down to me and I'm no audiophile. But it is more than adequate - I listen 50% talk and 50% music. The online and digital radio channels are a nice upgrade and make listening to pod casts and more obscure stations as easy as the standard FM tuner. The Amazon music integration requires your phone + connect app - it takes some time for all this to settle on the PCM. I have not been able to use that yet (but I hear that the quality of this source is much better).
Quality/Interior - Everything is solid and no rattles (phew!). I did test drive several cars and did have seat squeaks and blown speakers that so many describe here. I got the full leather and TBH I can't imagine this car without it. My sun visors are standard which looks ok but I don't like the touch of it (plastic feel - what it is). I would upgrade that if I had the chance. Roof lining standard looks good - alcantara upgrade would likely look even better but it is limited area with the sunroof. Small things like the fuse box cover can be covered in leather too - I did not do this and the basic plastic cover looks a bit out of place. If you want the premium feel while sitting in the car then you should consider this. I think the same will be true for the just announced steering wheel column in leather and ambient lightning options. These things are not a must have - but bring the interior of the car up to the level of the exterior (=fantastic).
Comfort access - opening the car is fine but I do find myself fumbling the handle to lock it. I have put the key in a nice leather jacket and for now I'm dealing with it. Opening the frunk is a whole different experience - I don't know what kind of harry potter move I need to make there. I do manage to open it - but mostly after 30 seconds of waving on the front of the car. Can be embarrassing in a public place.
Passenger door - this needs a firm close and a couple of times it looked closed but still got the warning on the PCM that it was not. This may be the only real problem I have with the car.
Connectivity - I'm using a network router (Netgear M1). This makes sure that I always have network in the car - even with the car off - and I will use it to connect to my blackvue camera when the car is parked. This works but in order to use connect apps you need to connect your phone to the Car wifi hub - fortunately the data connection is tethered to the phone this way so everything seems to work. Signal level is mostly ok - but I think the arm rest compartment slightly shields it. I'm going to try with an external antenna.
ACC/LKA/LCA - this is a real improvement from the previous generation. It is smooth and seems to anticipate cars merging in/out in front of you. Combined with LKA it is also a very nice safety feature that can safe you when you are messing around with the radio or air con settings. LKA does not mean self driving - nor does it interfere with explicit over the line driving (i.e. when merging back after overtaking). However if you don't 'hold' the steering wheel then it will steer back from a line. When you use your blinkers there is no intervening - however LCA may warn you I like these driving aids for commuting - but I can see myself switching all of this off when on summer vacation in the mountains somewhere (and yes that is possible).
Interior trim - I have the standard trim; it looks nice and I prefer the slightly darker look to the more shiny optional trims. It is a shame though that it is plastic - I would have paid for dark aluminum.
Sound - I'm in Europe so it is more muffled. But sound is plenty and good for me (I can only compare to youtube videos for US spec cars) I'm looking forward to sport+ in a tunnel once I'm passed break in
I've had my Aventurine Green 992 slick top coupe for about a month now, and as I'm breaking it in per factory specs, I've been driving like grandma (under 4K RPM for the first 2K miles) and can only tell you that the car seems tight and right for me. The new PCM is a bit of a challenge for me, and a few issues have really confounded me as I've tried to learn about the car.
First, despite shutting off "Comfort Entry" for the seats, the driver's seat almost unfailingly moves back about 3 inches when the door is opened. Once I push the memory seat button, it returns to my preferred position, but I would love to find a way to shut off the seat retraction for all purposes.
Second, I can't figure out how to reset the trip odometer in the instrument cluster. Resetting the trip via the PCM does nothing to re-set the miles to zero in the instrument cluster.
I went from a 991.2 GTS2 to a 992 4S and couldn't be happier with the move to 4wd. All traction, all the time, in 2000kms I've never even noticed the traction control come on once and this car shifts time and space!

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!
Odometer reset covered here in the past few days. Select left instrument cluster. Scroll to miles/odometer. Hold right thumbwheel and odo will start flashing and then reset.

No need to select screen. Just hold down the right thumb wheel until the odometer flashes and resets.
Thanks for the great summary of your impressions! Chalk exterior is really growing on me. It's just hard to tell what it really looks like sometimes. From the photos I've seen so far in the sun (like yours) it is almost white, then in other photos it looks very gray if its cloudy or dark. Is that your take too? I feel like many photographers add filters and color corrections so its tough to tell what it actually looks like in the wild.
Thanks HouTexCarreraS! There was no need to go into the PCM to re-set the odometer in the instrument cluster - your solution - simply holding down the right thumbwheel - worked like a charm!
