Hi currently own a 991.2 c2. I have it tuned and did a straight pipe exhaust. I dont like the livability of it anymore and went in to try the 992 c2 I like the new interior and how it handles and I personally feel that there is less lag but I was wondering if other people share this opinion or should I keep my current car?

I am just in the process of switching from a 991.2 C2 to a 992 C2S. All I can say is go for a test drive. For me, the improvements were evident both mechanically as well as aesthetically. They may not be for you.

my feeling is the 991.2 in Sport+ mode sounds better than the 992.

There are countless threads about the 991 vs 992 so search this forum, pop some corn and start reading. And then go drive a 992 and make the decision yourself.

2 weeks into 992 ownership after spending almost 3 years driving a gorgeous 991.2 GTS, I was fortunate enough to be able to trade for a new 992 Carrera 4S, thought I'd share some opinions.
I loved the 991.2 so much I was afraid of moving into a 992. But after an hour of test driving a 992 I put my order in for a 4S and put the 991.2 up for sale. I was still apprehensive about giving up one of the greatest cars on the road, the GTS, after only an hour with the new car.
I've had the 992 for 2 weeks now, the first day with it was spent nursing it home due to run in and adjusting to the new car with some mixed feelings. After a few more hours behind the wheel and being able to put the car through its paces in a few different scenarios, everyday driving, some distance on highways and at speed and putting it through its paces on some decently twisty roads - WOW!
While the overall difference is the level of refinement in the 992 vs 991, incredibly smooth ride, divine steering and brake feel, quiet when cruising, high tech interior and comfort all add up to a more quality GT feel. But when you get to open it up it instantly transforms into an enthralling and dynamic sports car. It actually uses its refinement to bring another level, in terms of performance it can do what the 991 did with greater ease but no less excitement.

I drive a 991.2 gts and she i drove the 992 c4s I found them to be very similar and not worth the upgrade yet. I agree it’s more refined by just enough to be noticeable but to me it was a loss of character. And I didn’t notice any difference in turbo lag or engine performance. I actually dislike the all digital interior, I’m dreading the switch to no buttons.
