Default Front license plate bracket

Has anyone used a Rho Plate bracket for a 992? Looks like it is one of the only options that clears everything.

Yes, I have. It works OK, but be sure to tighten all of the bolts and screws very securely to prevent it rotating from the desired alignment. I use US Millworks tow-hook mount plate holders on my 991 and 981 cars, and they are a bit more robust in design and construction, but they are incompatible with the parking sensor location on the passenger side of a 992.

Has anyone used License Plate Wrap?
It looks like it would end up being too high due to the plastic bar on the bumper.

I had the version that drops it below the sensor line on my 991.2, haven’t tried to mount it on the 992 but expect it to work fine. As previous reply said, make sure it’s tight, and remind yourself to check that it remains so in the future, so you don’t get any movement that makes it rub on paint, etc.

Interesting—never heard of that. Might be interesting as a rear “plate”.

Will that damage the paint over time?

Yes, I did this to my 991. I put some green felt at possible contact points, and you can see that in the photo. When I moved to Delaware, I took it off and there were no marks. It screws in from underneath, so it leaves no mark on the bumper if you should take it off. I don't have my 992 yet so I am not sure if there is room underneath the lip to screw in the bracket. I was extremely pleased with this solution.

See the felt I stuck on any possible contact points? Also, you can adjust it so that it is far from the paint if you like. I just don't know if this type will work on a 992.

Perhaps you are in Maryland or DC? I was told that Virginia is not so forgiving.

I second that. I did an informal count on the drive to and from work for a week or so... here in CT it is required both plates...I counted around 10% of vehicles without front plates. I then left it off the last car for 4 years and never had a problem even when pulled over for speeding a couple times.

I'm in MD, but my office is in VA -- I drive/park in VA as much as I do in MD.
