I'm willing to bet there's quite a discrepancy in performance between the 991.2 and the 992.1 Turbo S cars.
"Quite a discrepancy" meaning .1-.2 gain 0-60 and .2-.3 gain in the 1/4 mile...that's certainly a difference when we're already talking 2.6-2.7 and mid 10's on the 991.2, respectively... i.e. 60hp gain, that's car lengths in any type of race
.1 - .2 is huge in drag racing.
Just look how much $ and type of mods it take 991.2's to go high 9's.

Yep...at these ETs and 140+ traps, people pay thousands in mods for a tenth. My guess is the 992 Turbos S goes 10.0x-10.1x off the showroom floor, 9.9x in perfect conditions with negative DA and solid track prep

I hope so. Something to compete with a stock 720S.
However, the TTS weighs more and is still down on power compared to the MC. So with the PDK, It'll do the 0-60's and the 1/4's close to what you said, but the trap speed will still be a good bit lower than the 720S I bet.
There is a Musicar tweeter upgrade for 991 cars for Bose systems that enhances the sound significantly. I can only believe there will be one for the 992 eventually. Also if you spec Sport exhaust spending on Burmeister seems a waste.
Thanks for your reply. I will certainly look into if it is available for the 992.
I think I have all my boxes ticked, I'm having an issue exterior color. Both the whites, black or Guards Red. No upgrade on the audio due to the sport exhaust. A different Aero kit may change things up. http://www.porsche-code.com/PM6N8WY4
I’m struggling with the side intakes on mine. What do you guys think about painting them glossy black or body color (GT silver in my case)? The standard version felt a bit plasticky in my 991.2.

I had/have the same issue. I painted the rockers but leaving intakes as is to match the rugged feel of the rear fascia. Might paint To match body color in the end....But for now leave as is. Wouldn’t do gloss black though imho.

Glossy black definitely. Second choice is body colored.
I regretted not doing that on my 991.2 Turbo. The standard intakes look like Tupperware. That works on a GT3RS/GT2RS, but not so much on a Turbo IMO.

Its possible but it wont break into 9’s with street tires. Maybe with R888R. Regardless its gonna be epic. It will punch much higher than its weight (650 ps). Im also betting 60-130 in the mid 6’s (equal to stock gt2rs)

Tupperware made me laugh out loud - it's funny because it's true. You can get away with the side skirts in black tupperware, but the side intakes do need something to dress them up (black is easier to maintain than matching exterior color, if that's a concern). I replaced mine with CF on my 991.2, but I don't know how long we'll wait to see those sorts of options on the 992. I assume they'll be just as easy to swap out on the 992.

Yeah, tupperware is a great analogy. I’m leaning toward painting them the body color - reminds me of 996/997 which fits the retro styling of 992.

Why do you say black is easier to maintain?
I was just thinking that if you need to replace (or touch up) because of a scratch, black is simpler than matching a specific color. It's a really minor point, though, and I'm probably over thinking it.
I'm TRYING to hold out for the 992 GT3 Touring but the new Turbo S is so stunning, I'm tempted. Already went through the configurator and came out around $233k. Not pocket change by any means but when you consider what you're getting for that number, a car that can basically outperform any car on the road, in any setting, but with creature comforts allowing for daily driving, it is an absolute bargain. Approaching hyper-car performance figures for under $250k ain't too shabby.
u do not seem like a GT3 person as totally diff animal … Turbo S sounds like it check off all the boxes ; )
