Default 992 Sport Classic

Story in Autoexpress with spy shots of a car with a duck tail which is being wrongly reported as the Turbo S. It’s the new Sport Classic which uses the Turbo body but with the rear induction vents removed. Engine is secret. it’s going to be a very limited production just like the original Sport Classic.

Wow, this looks really exciting. I love the ducktail and wider hips but am afraid of the associated ADM that may come with this car...also fingers crossed its offered with a proper manual transmission

Hopefully suncoast (or whoever) will offer the ducktail to purchase separately.

The rear vents aren’t removed, if you look carefully at the pictures published by Auto Express they’re taped over.

Probably means they will be removed or, if kept, will not be functional (otherwise they wouldn't be able to be blocked off). Perhaps the former as it's not like Porsche to have non-functional vents as far as I can remember.

I thought square pipes were usually reserved for Turbo branded models.

What makes you so sure this is not 50th Anniversary Carrera RS (originator of ducktail)?

Mules. none of those details will head out in any specificity until its closer to debuting. the wing is really the single biggest piece of development kit here TBH.

Indeed. The sport bucket seats and roll cage are interesting. Clubsport package I assume ?

Possibly, they also run bars on a TON of development cars prior to the more final versions as well, but I could see that being an option with a sport classic given the heritage there.

I was told about this car 1 year ago and they all referred to it as the Sport Classic...but to be honest I am not 100% sure that it will be called that. What is sure is that it will be the Turbo body with no rear induction vents.

Curious about what engine they will be running in this puppy. How do we know this isn't a GTS undergoing cold weather testing?

I love the ducktail, and wish Gt3 touring had it
