Sport response button

Does anyone know if pushing the sport response button gives a temporary burst in power in addition to putting everything in its sportiest setting? My 997 turbo when placed in sport mode would give a short (20 sec) increase in torque. I have never seen anything in writing that says the 992 does this and I suspect not, but two salesmen have told me it does. Just curious as today I pushed the button for the first time now that I’m past my break in period.

It does give you a little more boost from the turbo. That’s why you see an increase in torque.

According to the manual: "Faster build-up of boost pressure". Effectively just like sport plus, more related to the PDK. I believe in the TT and TTS cars there's overboost.

I wonder how that works mechanically, I imagine the throttle is staying open longer on overrun and lift off, increased throttle responsiveness and Pdk always being in the lowest gear keeping revs high and turbos spooling.
