I was hoping to improve all the g's at Road America, the virus messed up the season. Fast curves and some hard breaking.
Said another way, skidpads are a consistent way to compare cars against each other, but the numbers published are not necessarily the highest numbers a given car could achieve in a given turn on a given track (because of radius, camber, etc. as John stated).

Look at 9 and 59 sec

those are not pure lateral loads... that's inclusive of acceleration ... The way I understand lateral g skidpad ratings is that's the limit for pure side load before the car departs the road ..

Those phone sensors are not that reliable.
Interesting that I managed 1.24 on my prior car (991.2 base cab). AWD plays a role, but the improved chassis, SPASM, wheelbase and 18w seats are also major factors. It's quite capable and improved from an already great car.
We talk a lot about those lateral g's and suspension and chassis, but we shouldn't forget that the buck stops on the seats. The 18w seats on the 992 deserves a lot of praise, IMO, specially with a bad back.

I believe I would have felt uncomfortable with lateral G-loads at 1.45 and above if they had been generated on a level surface, yet I had no difficulty at all in the 1.45-1.53 range per the G-Meter. More accurately, there was enough down load/pressure on my car to allow such a high measurement.
I think you may be confusing the affects of blood pressure on vertical and lateral G. Lateral G, which we experience to a minor extent in our cars has little affect. The affect of vertical G and blood pressure are more significant. Hence, the blood leaving the brain and people taking naps at inopportune moments. However, blood pressure is only one small aspect of g tolerance. Interestingly, even small amounts of negative G is not well tolerated by humans.

Here’s a great example of Vertical G, both positive and negative. It’s a workout.

Love the GTS by the way.

This was last weekend while out for a BevMo pickup, stock alignment on OEM Goodyear’s, “normal” suspension mode. Unbelievable lateral grip for being such a comfortable street car.

Thanks for the information. Glad to know better now. Won't have to worry about those high-g corners.

I’m only 1 week into ownership, but hoping I can pump these numbers up soon.

991.2 Turbo ... not a 992, sorry!

^Nice acceleration G force! I'm at 1.03, but I'm still running my winter Michelin Alpin tires. My 991 turbo cabriolet has a max acceleration G of 1.15, I think.

I don't have a pic, but I floored the car for the first time today since I put on a set of PS4S tires (315's on the rear) for the summer and I hit 1.08. I'm curious to see what I'll get using launch control, but I want to wait until I break my new tires in a bit first.

This was taken after using launch control for the first time today. This is with 315 width Michelin PS4S tires in the rear. PSM in Sport mode.

Second try. Same road, but it was a little bit later in the day and warmer (65° vs maybe 55-60°). I switched climate control off completely so my A/C wasn't running. And I had also just washed the car. Everyone knows cars drive better after a car wash. I swear my car feels faster now that I've been driving it harder. I think the ECU adapted or something.

Unbelievable amount of grip for street tires. This is on the factory Goodyear’s during a drive this morning on Highway 9 in Northern California. Love this car.
