the Turbo is the next variant to be launched (at Geneva in under a month), then I suspect the GT3 will follow at Goodwood this year.

To be fair, all 991s are out of production but as of today you can still build the 991.2 Targa, Turbo, GTS, and Speedster models on the Porsche USA website.

So why did Porsche drop the GT3 configurator and not the Turbo, GTS and Targa models? The only other models they dropped were the Carrera/S/4/4S and those are all available in 992 format now. I think Porsche might release the 992 GT3 before they release the 992 Turbo. They were selling a **** ton of 991 GT3s, they’re at a lower (ish) price point than the Turbo, and I bet they’re trying to prop up the 992 sales.

I think the GT configurators are dropped because (a) they stopped production earlier than the rest of the models, and (b) there are almost no new GT cars left in dealer inventory any more.

We have 0 new GT3, 6 new GT3 RS and 1 new GT2 RS left in the entire country according to Autotrader, so they don't need the configurator to sell new cars. Meanwhile, we have 239 new Turbo / Turbo S cars still on dealer lots, and some of them were built as late as November 2019 from a cursory VIN search. I think the configurators might still be useful in informing consumers what options are possible on in-stock cars on dealer lots.

Latest rumor I heard was GT3 introduction at Goodwood Festival of Speed this Summer.

Been off configurator for over a week now. Hopefully they add something soon to play around with 😃

And they say the Turbo/TTS models are simply the best. Are they?
