I programmed my favorite xm stations but I can't figure out why I can't use my back and forth arrow buttons and the button on the steering wheel with my favorites. When I press the arrows or the button it goes to the next station not my next favorite. Anybody have a solution?

Unfortunately there isn’t. We worked on this for several days. It’s the one thing my wife doesn’t like. So on the home screen we listed her favorite channels and we just scroll with our fingers.

If you need help setting up your home screen let me know. My wife googled a site that helped a lot

What?! That's a crazy oversight to me. I'm waiting on delivery of my 992, so I haven't had the chance to get to know the car yet. You mean you can't change your preset stations from the steering wheel? Have to use touchscreen?

Unfortunately, at least in the 992, what he seems to have accomplished in the post is simply assigning a large home screen tile to his favorite stations. Still no way to scroll through them without constantly pecking at the screen.
I've spent some time on this since I'm a chronic favorite station switcher, and the only functionality I've come up with is putting the PCM in media display mode and selecting favorites. Then the PCM dial will scroll through them and pressing the dial to selects the station. Since the dial is awkward to reach and you end up resting your hand on the awful glossy black plastic trim, this isn't really a solution either. And when you scroll to the end of your favorites your stuck and have to scroll all the back to the beginning, just like a early Audi MMI system I had about 15 years ago!
All of this is more than a little frustrating since the whole point of the touchscreen was to allow the user to configure it anyway you desire and then you discover either some functions aren't allowed or don't work the way you expect them to or depend on the tile size selected.
This mess would almost be acceptable if somewhere in the abbreviated manual or app told you exactly what functions are available how and when, but I haven't found that info anywhere and the dealer directing me to the Porsche i-manual site to look in the nonexistent 992 online manual didn't much help either!

This one is really annoying. What happened to the media screen in the instument cluster. It woul dhave been nice to atleast use one of those screen views for media behind the steering wheel. Media is completly gone. It would be a great screen to throw the favorites and use the scroll wheel to switch. I second that this is completly annoying.

Yes, this is the most ridiculous thing. It’s surely a software issue that seems to be easily addressed.
in my 991 it’s this way, and in our 2019 Cayenne it’s this way.
It is madness.

My final solution for XM favorites was to use a large tile on the home page just listing the first station in the "blocks" I listen to. Then use the next button (and the joker button programmed for previous) to scroll through the blocks and peck at the screen for the large jump to the next block.

Mine self-resolved with 3 months of ownership. Just ignore the calls and letters afterwards.
I don't find Sirius good anyways. A matter of opinion and taste, of course. Way too much talk and the music is repetitive on the few channels that I liked. So many streaming options, working really well with wireless CarPlay.
