Owners help those in the waiting room?
Ok, so many threads about the purchasing/options/etc... I’m like a lot of people on this forum still months away from getting my hands on my 992, and dying to know more about the ownership experience...
...what’s the top of the charts experiences for people that are enjoying these cars today? Who has found the perfect road to enjoy it? The perfect weekend trip? Any other moments that stand out above all the others?
in my 991.2, I once found this fast (55mph limit) but curvy non-stop 30 mile 2-lane up through a valley in Vermont northwest of Woodstock, headed north, weaves through the multitude of ski resorts (it was summer), and it was amazing, also was part of a great Vermont/Quebec-city/Montreal road trip from NJ.
The car’s practicality, amazing drive, and even classic glamour (felt like I was traveling by private jet when I’d pull it up to the valets at hotels) all came through in that one trip.
Look forward to hearing what the 992 owners I’m so envious of are enjoying most.

I've only owned my car for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, no great roads have been found, but love it non the less! What has impressed me the most, being a first time Porsche owner, is the sheer road presence. The handling and PDK are excellent and simply make you want to drive more and more. Coming out of a 10 year old C63 AMG, this cars technology is a very welcome improvement (no fault of AMG....it was just 10 years old!). As it is my new DD, I'm in love!

Here in NorCal, as a motorcycle rider, I frequent a place called Alices (4-points Woodside CA).. there is a great 2 lane road (US 35) which winds thru the Santa Cruz mountains... and then I take 9 down to the 280 (an Autobahn quality freeway) back to my home in San Mateo,... this is normally my ride for my bikes.. but on the 992 it's also an amazing drive.
