Thanks everyone. I think I am leaning to the TTS. I am planning on going to the Porsche driving experience in California in March. That will help me with my decision. Hopefully the 992 TTS will be released by then and prices on certified will go down or there may be more on the market. Thanks again.

The Turbo S is going to have a larger footprint than the 992, it's all personal perspective and what you're looking for. The TTS will have a sense of occasion that's hard to beat, the 992's body IMHO is stunning, can't go wrong either way.

I think the 992 is a cleaner looking car. The TTS is a bit more polarizing with the scoops and square rear fenders and pneumatic front spoiler.

I drove a 991.2 C2s, then a 2016 911 Turbo S, then a 992 before buying the 992. I was very helpful to see all the cars lined up and drive them one after another. I really thought I was going to buy the TTS, but since this is a daily driver and don't need a weekend type car, I choose the drivability of the 992. Love the interior/tech, handling, looks, and has enough power to satisfy most! GL with your decision.

Well I can tell you that you really don’t need the PDCC. It’s really not necessary on a 992 with Sport PASM. You may also want to consider a C2S instead of a C4S unless you deem the 4WD absolutely necessary.

Good thread guys. I’m in the same dilemma. I called around a bit and looks like a new 991.2 turbo s can be had for 15% off msrp ! That seems pretty remarkable and makes the decision even more tough. For me , just knowing there is a newer version out there may trouble me and cause me to flip out of the 991.2 sooner rather than later. Also I’ve had a 991.2 turbo s already. It’s an incredible machine.

Agree with this. The 2s is really the sweetest option here...and I have a 4s, but just because it's my daily and I'm in the northeast

So I was facing this exact dilemma and I ended up with the 991.2 Turbo S. Absolutely no regrets. Initially I was leaning towards the 992 purely based on the infotainment system. However I realized that I literally never even use the thing on any of my cars. As long as I have bluetooth audio or CarPlay that's all I care about. When I saw both side by side at the dealership I immediately gravitated towards the Turbo S.

An incredible machine for sure. Only 332 miles on mine so far. 991.2 TTS is the pick of the litter IMO...

And I could swear this car sounds different than the 991.2 base Turbo I had...maybe it's the bigger turbos??

I had a similar deliberation: 991.2 TTS v. 992 C4S over the past months or so. Sold my 991.1 TTS in November and wanted back in a 911. Like you I don’ track, other than occasional demo day, and was looking for more of a DD other than my much larger MB E63s.

I started being set on a new or slightly used 991.2 TTS, which woulda been my 4th turbo, but just couldn’t pull the trigger, even on a great deal of 15% off MSRP, based upon the interior feeling dated compared to the 992. I know this woulda gnawed at me and gotten worse over my ownership horizon of about 3-4 yrs. Just for fun, I took a drive in a C4S and it’s everything I need and more in terms of performance; it just lacks a tiny bit of the scare factor in terms of acceleration...and if I get really stupid I can always go for mod or two to reach near parity (at least as much as my modest skills could detect). Ultimately, I decided on the 992.

FWIW, the sales guy at Champion, a high volume dealer here in Fl, says he’s seen the same movie a bunch of times and everyone goes the 992 route.

There are several other threads on this topic and in the 991 area.

Best of luck!
