my ex girlfriend lived in Burlington VT... she used to think my 2017 BMW 540Xi that sells for about $76K was a super amazing car... when she'd see a Tesla she's just about lose her mind..
Thats how 90% of Americans see these cars.. your LA bubble isn't reality for most Americans.

Every time I am in London I feel like every other car is a Mercedes S Class, and that's okay because it's a phenomenal car. Just buy what you like, Porsche lets you make your 911 unique with the options list.

But honestly guys paying $130,000 USD for a car that is parked in every other corner in LA is no fun, I realized how non special these 911 have become when you see one very frequently, I just bought a slight used 2017 R8 V10 plus for 139,000 USD and let me tell ya feels much more special than a 911. People are just buying 911 because of the brand Porsche and 911 brand as well, to tell people hey I drive a 911, to me the 911 should cost around 100,000 decently equipped, in my opinion Porsche is overcharging people about 30,000 USD.
You're comparing a used Audi to a new Porsche? That Audi had a base MSRP of about $165,000.
Funny story, a couple of years ago I was going out to dinner with some friends, most into cars somewhat. Parked out front the restaurant we were heading for was a brand new R8. Friend of mine said: "Is that the new TTRS?" and it occurred to me from the side profile, that's exactly what it looked like.
The 911 doesn't get mistaken for anything except maybe the occasional VW Beetle.

Humor me...what city is this 911 utopia you speak of? I only see 911's once a month unless I look for them and I live in a pretty decent sized city.
But even if you already have an R8, why do you let it bother you? Or why do you even care?

Buy the car you like and feels the best for you. Drive the hell out of it. Shouldn’t matter if everyone else has the same car. More people to share the experience with. My 992 4S should be here next week and can’t wait, to me it was the best all around daily sports car for that price range

What kind of person buys an Audi for 140k. Then decides it would be a good idea to go to a 992 forum and simultaneously boast about what makes their car special, while putting down owners who bought a 992?
Your money and my money both ended up in the same pockets. The funny thing is, the 911 is a unique design that has stood the test of time, and the brand Porsche has built commands a premium. If anything one could argue that the Macan is overpriced once spec'd up properly vs buying a Q5, being that they are essentially the same car underneath.
The R8 is a poor mans Lamborghini.

So much aggravation because I called the 911 common and mundane.Trust me where I live 911 are freacking common and yes you do whatever you want with your money as for me I won't spend 130,000 for a common car but of course that's just me.

I'm going to pull the pin, I see nothing further constructive coming from this discussion except watching this conversation circle the drain.
Fun chat everyone, but I think we've reached a stopping point.
