Default Why no crash test data on the 911?

So I was trying to find NHSTA or other agency crash test data on the 992 or 991 and there is absolutely nothing out there... how is it the car got approval without this data?

Car manufacturers are required to meet certain safety standards, and do internal testing to validate that. They aren't mandated to get independent tests done by NHTSA or Euro Ncap. Most manufacturers send only a small portion of their cars to test

While I'm sure the 992 is strong. The fact that 50% or more cars on the roads are suvs worries me. T-bone in a 992 vs a F150 = goodbye head.

It might do better than you expect! I was hit in the side by a large box truck last month and my 991 held strong. Broken wrist and thumb, but fared well all things considered.

Because if you crash you die. Nothing to report.

I was T-boned by a Tundra at freeway speeds (i.e., excess of about 50 mph) in a 991.1 C4S. Full air bags deployed, paramedics on the scene, fire trucks, police, etc. Stopped traffic on the freeway for about 1.5 hours, even made the evening local news.

Me? I survived without any surface scratches or permanent injuries. Some bruised muscles, and a cracked clavicle, as well as a bruised lung (which hurt like a motherfvker), and walked out of the hospital in less than a week's time. And back in a Porsche in less than 6 months.

Even my sunglasses survived without a scratch.

The 911 C4S? It fared much worse than I did.

After that experience, I would much rather be in a 911 in a serious crash than just about any other car.

YMMV, of course.
