Wink

No. I examined the new lights as compared to the original that came installed. Did some minor trimming of the new tangs to match and then installed. Fits like a glove and works great. Take your time on the install.

To those that have successfully installed these, how did you do it? The new lights seem a little bigger than the original and the fit is very snug that I can’t snap them into place.

I'm sorry, I don't get the inside joke here but I would love to hear more about it since I know who Nick Murray is.

Haha. Nick did a two part video regarding ALL the available options on the 992. Which were great vids BTW..In his Nick Murray way, he expressed his distaste for the Porsche puddle lights. Him busting chops is kind of funny..

Can't really add anything to what is already posted in this thread. Took me about 15 minutes with no trimming or other modifications to the new ones.

I was hoping for a lesson on how to angle it in (backside first or redside first). I’m just scared to break something.

Oh, that video was the one I skipped, seemed like it was going to be a long one if he’s going over all the options.

I bought a set of these projector lights for my 992 off Suncoast. Never ended up using them. Opened the box to look at them once but never installed.

New in box. PM me if you want to buy. $50 + ship

Same here. Loved the videos. Agree with Nick on some things and disagree on others, as some of it comes down to taste. I opted not to get the PORSCHE puddle lights but did opt for the illuminated sills, which is somewhat funny as I chose not to get PDLS+. So I got a $900 option I could have added from Suncoast for $600 or so plus dealing with the install myself, but did not get the $1,270 PDLS+ because I didn't feel the + part of the PDLS lights (cornering, etc.). Doesn't make sense does it. Get an option you only see when the door is open for 10 seconds and at night vs an option that assists with driving. hmmm.

But isn't that the point? We can all option our 992s as we wish. Some may choose flashy things, some may choose driver oriented things, but in the end it's your 992 and you get to decide. I don't disparage anyone for their choices (although some of them do have me scratching my head). If leather trimmed air vents are your thing, well, then go for it. Non-Porsche enthusiasts often make fun of the option list from Porsche but I like it. To each his own. One time I used the configuator to create a lizard green exterior and red leather interior. Sent the link to my dealer in the last week before my build was "locked" and said "Hey AJ, I'm thinking of going green/red, what do you think?" The poor bastard nearly had a heart attack. Anyways, custom puddle lights are nice, not for me but if they were standard I wouldn't complain.
Cheers,
Ross
