992 turbo hybrid
The Drive is citing Porsche executives to claim the new 911 turbo will offer a hybrid powertrain. I assume this would be the still-faraway 992.2 refresh of the yet-unreleased 992.1 turbo models.

I don’t know if that sounds great or bad, but it’s interesting. I was surprised to not find a thread about it here in the 992 forum so I thought I’d start one.

Three Wheelin'
There was an interesting article in one of the British magazines and it said that they expanded the physical size to accommodate a battery/electric motor, but that they wouldn't be putting one in, at least in the first version. Maybe that's what this article said, too? I'm thinking the next Turbo (that comes after the first 992) may have electric assist, but if so it will be interesting to see how they tune it so that it isn't so much better, and then continue to evolve it. If Porsche is good at anything it's generally evolving (rather than revolutionizing and making a monumental performance jump) with each new model, and each .x version.
