check out what this guy did with a corvette. surely it could not have costed him $150,000 just to have that setup?

1) You’re going to be fabricating unique suspension parts (dampers, springs, arms, rollbars, etc) for this, because there won’t be anything off the shelf that’s going to work for a 911. Being first is expensive and if you’re going to bother, there needs to be CAD drawings and modeling done here — ie. real engineering work behind the fabrication for the arms, etc. Most suspension makers can build the dampers and springs to spec, but it won’t be off the shelf. $$
2) If you’re going for this level of game, everything actually needs to work — you’re going to hire someone to do the ECU tweaks, some of which haven’t been done before. You’re going to be paying an expert. Everything is more expensive for the Porsche in this regard.
3) I am making the assumption that you won’t be doing bondo/sawzall slapdashery here. This is an aluminum bodied car. You just can’t take a torch to it. Aluminum makes everything more complicated and expensive.
Could you do it for less than $150k? Maybe, but you’re not going to pull it off for $50k. Don’t half *** it. Use the full ***.

It’s a lot easier to do this to an old Vette — which lacks complex systems, has a fiberglass body, and enjoys a huge aftermarket, including parts to do this. My recommended $150k budget is based upon the premise that...

This stuff isn’t my taste, but as someone who has done lunatic builds, like a six figure Subaru STI street legal race car, I respect the desire to spend f$&@ all money on something unique, even if nobody really likes it.
Troll? There’s weak *** trolling of a forum. Then, there’s hard core laugh riot trolling of actually putting 30 inchers on a 911 and showing up at a PCA event. Sadly, you’re from the former group. The latter would be just respectable hilarious bad *** — despite the total lack of taste involved.
Yes, while it’s certainly not my taste, I am actually disappointed that you’re not really considering this build. DUBs = weak.

If I was doing the 30" build, I would first run with a garish set of wheels for one summer (for the shock/car show value) then leverage those cut fenders to go safari with it the next year. Air suspension right out of the gate would make both configurations possible with the same basic set of mods. You would get two fun car show seasons out of it and take home a pile of trophies. After that's done, you could actually go an enjoy the safari build configuration indefinitely.

Uh, those wheels would technically be smaller than the 20/21 setup on the S cars. If you were planning on doing this to a Huracan, $150k in modifications isn’t really that intense. DUBs? Really? Yeah, you were never really seriously going to do this.
