Default New member + Porsche Driving Experience at NJMP video (11/6/19)

Hi all! Long time lurker here, but finally signed up as I’m looking to get my first 911, optioned from the factory of course, hopefully soon. Seeing those 992 photos and reading all the discussions definitely are helping me enormously, so thanks!

As my first contribution, I’m sharing a video I made from yesterday’s Porsche Driving Experience event I attended at NJMP hosted by Posche Monmouth. All in-car videos were taken hand held during my turns as the passenger as there was no time to set up the gopro in between the laps.

Enjoy and like the video if you like it.

Nice video. I was there yesterday as well.

I wish we would have gotten a bit more driving time to get a better sense of the car, but it sure was impressive.

Thanks to Porsche Monmouth for the invitation.

Hey brianja! I was fairly sure a forum member was also there yesterday.

Yes, more driving time would have been awesome, but it was plenty enough for me. Test driving the cars on track was the perfect opportunity for a future owner like me to be able to test the car's capabilities close to its limits. Although I wished there were base 911s there to test as I'm also heavily considering the base car.

Anyway, I I can't wait to build my car now. Was debating between GT silver and gentian blue before I saw them in person and now have decided on the latter.

Nice video, I was there too but had to leave right before lunch. Good times and this was my second PDE with Monmouth.
I kinda felt that the 992 was a bit squirrelly around the bends. While I’m biased at the moment with a 991.2 4S cab, I felt like the 991.2 was more stable at higher speeds. Anyway was good times and fun to be able to compare outgoing vs new model.
