BIGWORM and Vintage 72... no regrets ! Over the years (since my 911 T 2.2L bought in 1973) I have had every generation of 911 (except the SC) ... I am on my twelfth, and I have
absolutely no regrets... the 991 was a brilliant car, but then so were the 997, 996, 993....etc. In 2019 I got my Carrera S, and I am as much in love with it as I was with the previous eleven !!

It's an expensive option that pretty much disappears with Jet Black. So I left if off my Black build and saved the money. Second, and this is personal preference, but with the Bordeaux/Black interior, I prefer the standard black seatbelts. Imo, they provide better contrast and again, it's a money saver (which never hurts!). Just my $0.02, which is probably what my opinion is worth!
worth more than 2 cents for sure considering the option cost you a little under $8k down here in Aus.

I think the belts being red isn't needed with the gorgeous Bordeaux interior. Think about the yellow in your gauge cluster as well. It may work or it may not. Night view had been hit and miss based on what I've read. For daily, helps to have lane change assist? If you do sport design, consider adding the side skirts as well. Again, do consider if needed on a black car.

I’ve optioned the sports design package all round so skirts and rear defuser.
I do love the yellow pop from the Ferrari 458 gauge cluster and that of the Turbo S I’ve seen. I’m hoping to achieve the same effect. It could totally flop just as much as it could Pop 😅
Minus the yellow trim here
I don’t have an option for lane change assist in my Australian based configurator and my local dealer didn’t mention it so I’ll have to chase that up next week when I visit the dealership.
I have also read night vision has had it problems, anyone else have any experience with this feature in their 992?

Just swapped 991.2 base (manual) for 992 S (Pdk)
- PSE is awesome
- significant difference in acceleration from 80 to 110
- new cabin feels more visible / airy for some reason

Aaaagh, Hinckley...!!! The configurator ! I have no idea why some people waste time on computer games, as THIS is the best game ever...
I have configured just about every colour / wheels / optional extras combo, on the 991 in its time, and now on the 992. I am "working" on the 650hp Turbo S
right now... can't afford one but hey ! Why not imagine your dream.... (maybe in a couple of years...)?

Back to a 911 after a Cayman. The 981 was a major departure: not a 911 and PDK---multiple heresies! I fully appreciate the joy of a manual, mastering it, its lightness but the PDK won me over; with Sport Chrono it was constantly entertaining (and having a transmission with PARK was a welcome and long forgotten convenience). So the departed Cayman is to the left and the 992 peaks out, a sleeper C4S with PDK and a stupidity of other options.
Rodium Silver vs the 992 GT Silver, similar looking wheels, black calipers - all to keep a low profile. Most neighbors have not noticed the change; it's still that guy's "Poorsh".
One option Nick nixed was seatback treatments: nobody sees them. But they add a lot to the rear view - even in the coupe. The rear SD treatment initially attracted me to the 992 but my thinking changed. The more time I had to play around with covid induced Build Your Porsche time tunnels, the more I felt the rear SD with its elevated license plate worked better with the Wing - where its height is offset by the height of the wing- IMO. The standard rear visually lowered the car by dropping the license plate and defining the blacked out lower rear exhaust panel by surrounding it with the exterior color.
I think the painted seat backs would be particularly good in a cab. For those who may be interested here's another shot of them. The option is listed under Interior Leather, sport seats plus in leather with painted inlay. Pricey. I think they probably show best with a lighter exterior color and a darker interior color. This pic also captures the interior trim inlays in the exterior color.
The SD front and side skirts also visually lowered the car.
The wheels were a pleasant surprise. They are the Carrera Exclusive Design Wheels - without an additional paint option. The surprise is that they are subtlely two-toned: bright blades against a background of GT Silver or something really close to GT Silver. PCCBs in black.

Very clean car, congrats.
I prefer loud and in your face - but that's a beauty of a 911, you can dress it the way you want it to come off.
Those wheels look fantastic on your color.

I like it! I did the seat backs on my 18-way in all
leather but thought about doing a CF inlay to match the rest of the trim. I like the inlay, but like you, thought that it would be cool to do in a convertible.
I love these rims, too. I’ll be interested to know your impressions of the Sport Tex and long term impressions of going to a PDK.

Every time I see Sport Tex I like it more. Congrats on a beautiful, timeless 911.
