It may have changed - but I'm pretty sure that was the case when I was ordering mine....
He has the standard exhaust... for the standard Carrera they are rectangular shaped singles for each side.

Sorry, yes, that makes sense: my car would have had the standard exhaust and therefore the upgrade to twin tailpipes would work with that.

It took me 3 weeks to get a figure from them to retro-fit sports side skirts as I have regretted not opting them.
The standard tips, the quad tips and the PSE tips all are positioned in the same location in the same panel in the bumper. No reason that I can see (although don't have a parts catalogue to verify) preventing simple swap to whatever tips one prefers. No tips are actually connected to the exhaust, which means this will likely be a DIY exercise only slightly more complicated than swapping out yellow corner marker lenses for clear ones. Given how inexpensive (in Porsche terms) the upgrade to the 4 tips are from the rectangular ones on the base, there can't be more to it than what meets the eye. Of course, this is conjecture on my part until we can verify the parts are available from a dealer and not just at build time (almost a given), and someone actually does the switch themselves. I'm watching the 992 parts section on Suncoast to see when new items get added. Other than full SD retrofits, side skirts and the extended lower lip one gets when ordering a car with SPASM there are no other 992 body parts available.

I realise this is quite niche and I dont want to bore anyone, but I've looked at both standard and PSE-equipped cars...

...To my eye at least, the former has a more rectangular cut out, and the latter very close cut ovals - they definitely look different to my eyes.

I do hope it's my cack-handed vision though and that I'm totally wrong.

Anyway - back to lovely pics of our 992s!!!....

Yep, the tips themselves are different shapes; the panel they sit in that fits in the bumper cap appears exactly the same shape/size.

I concur. Twin tips and PSE tip both sit in a quadrilateral shaped piece of plastic that appears to snap into the rear valance. BUT this only applies to the standard valance. The sport design valance is different.

My reasoning is that the standard wheels and silver trim genuinely have a greater contrast against GT, as it has more steely tones.

When I was picking I went to the OPC and took samples of both GT and Dolomite around the showroom and car park to get a feel for them in various lighting conditions.

Dolomite is more obviously a silver, with a blue hue, and as such colder. It has less variation in tone than GT, which can go from light reflective in direct light, to almost non-metallic and steel-like out of direct light.

Or at least that's what I hope!

Refurbished garage to give appropriate home for new baby.

I think the Burgundy Red interior goes really well with Crayon (Chalk) exterior.

Finally got it after 5 months of an excruciatingly slow wait. For chalk/crayon fans with glossy black wheels.

Chalk is my favorite color. I really like it. Looks great on your 992. My GTS was chalk.
