Any move from a gt4, 991.1 S or Gts to a 992?
Currently cross shopping
991.1 gts 7mt
718 gt4
992 base manual
interested in hearing from those who have moved into 992s from naturally aspirated 3.8's
cheers

Keeping my 991.1 4S. Hunting GT4s. Can’t shake the NA thing.
My bud is getting the 992 C4S Cab. Has the 991.2 Cab. The 992 is such a nice car. Very comfy. Very fast. Quiet. Nice little growl from the back.
Hearing we may see the Turbo or GTS released at LA auto show.

for me it's all about smiles per miles and the GT4 and 991.1 GTS each offer a different take on that...
I am not the only one who thinks they are worth comparing
the 992 attracts me with its low end torque and new styling...but I dislike turbos
hence the query

Well, if you dislike turbos then you should probably cross the 992 off your list. ( if you open up to turbos then you will have more options and just make the decision even more difficult.)
( I, on the other hand, really like turbos. I've driven the 992S and wouldn't even consider a 991.1, nor would I a 991.2 at this point) The 992 made the 991 feel "vintage" to me...not in a good way.
Now you are down to 718 GT4 and 991.1..
If you are pretty picky about your options, IMO, you should just order a new 718 GT4. Looking for a used car with precisely the options you want is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Unless you want something pedestrian like gray with a PDK it can be an exasperatingly long and cumbersome search. I could not live with the GT4 on the street. It's just too low for my taste. ( besides I don't like wings) It is not a car I would enjoy driving and putting a lot of miles on. GTS wins that by a mile for me. Plus the GTS ( vs the base 992) has the third radiator, something I would really value on the track several times a year.
Good luck with your search.

I've driven both the GT4 and the 991.1 GTS, not the 992 manual

Many people take issue with what I am going to say (sorry)...
The 992 is antiseptic and comparatively boring. The sound has no range- high to low. The sound is more like noise than music. The car is a blunt instrument instead of a scalpel.
Of course the performance, luxury and reliability are outstanding. So much so- I will get one for my wife.
And if you are a purist- forget about it.
