Default Exclusive Designer tail lights - anyone?

Thoughts? So its all black and the red strip is gone? Did they replace it with white LED? A bit more info would be so welcome!

I'm sure they'll illuminate red. Wow, that really helps the appearance of the high mounted 3rd brake light.

This is no different than the old tinted tails, IMO. It will still illuminate red.

But as Lex said, it really makes the third brake light go away. Reason enough to elect for it.

Would prefer just the 3rd brake light tinted - too much contrast lost on the light bar IMO.

It still illuminates red when activated.

I actually like the red lightbar... maybe an interesting retrofit to just swap out the 3rd brake light.

When I inevitably buy a used 992, this will be one of the main options I go for. Replacing lighting is a pain, and I love how the clear lights look on this car, especially with lighter colored paint. Makes the car look more aggressive and reminds me of the upgrade from the amber side reflector to the clear one, just a cleaner, simpler overall look.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think these are the clear lights that were posted maybe last week? Aren't these black??

These are the same, there's only one option on the configurator under lighting, and it's for clear taillights. Guessing it's just lighting in the pictures that make them look different.

I had this option on my old 2017 Cayman, they used to list them as tinted but they're called "clear" now, which is more accurate, I think.

I painted the bucktooth smoke. Improved a little bit. Once tequipment for it comes out I may get it.

And don't forget about the lower reflectors - get them painted or have them done in Satin Black so they blend in.

I wonder how much it will cost to order just the 3rd brake light assembly? Is it part of the whole rear grill or a separate part that fits into the existing piece in place of the red one? I like the look of the standard tail lights, but prefer the look of the clear high mount light

The droplets are water. They are bright enough when lit.

We think alike. Someone always figures this stuff out later. Give it some time. If you want to know sooner. maybe call a guy like Luke in Sunset Porsche's (503-644-2012) parts department. Ask him for part numbers.
