Is that a Focal? I actually did a ton more sound proofing. It was the upper part of the door card causing the issue. It still vibrates with the deepest of bass tunes, but honestly it's hard to remove that with sub 60/70hz bass sitting in the doors, which is why you ideally have a subwoofer that can handle those frequencies!
Yes, Focal P60 kit for the doors. Other Focal goodies for the remainder.
looks really great! Are you doing a self install? I’ve been trying to find a good shop in the Bay Area to lead an audio upgrade.
If you're looking for a top notch car audio shop in the Bay Area you cant do better than Bing at Simplicity in Sound in Milpitas. I'm an AV integrator and I've never seen anyone better on the Car Side, and he's done multiple 992's.
I couldn't wrap my head around what would have been some CAD$150-200 to order and ship the part, so bought a $20 can of Rustoleum red and voila...
The **** looks brighter that the guards red in the picture, but honestly, it's pretty darn close in real life, and zero folks are going to be in the car and say "hey, your **** is a slightly different color of red than your chrono". Figured if I didn't like it, could always either buy a new one or get the one from RGS. But ended up looking great.
Damn finger prints on the gloss black center console though...hmmm...maybe I will swap the magsafe holder and paint it red as well. Didn't like it at first in red.

No car yet 😂 but found the license plate frame I was looking for and was able to source it from dealer parts fortunately. Carbon fiber is +5 HP right??
So I'm typically very slow at modifying cars, and most things need to be easily reversible or I'm not really interested. So far on the interior I've replaced the Pedals with Numeric and the Shifter with a function first ****, been super happy with both and I feel they improve the look and experience.
Lately I started thinking about the best way to bring some of the interior BRG color in to the cabin, also thinking about how to get rid of the silver accents in the cabin, door pulls, dash trim, etc. But doing so in a way that looks like it could have been done at the factory. Looked at doing the 12 o'clock marker but can't wrap my head around the electrical tape route, thought about a few other routes and then ran across GT3Belts and there solution for replacing the Door handles
with RS Style Pulls, I liked the look but the colors offered wouldn't work for what I had in mind. So just on a whim I emailed to see if they could do custom color combos, they responded back in 20 minutes and said we can match almost any color, in addition turns out there only 20 miles away so they came out with some samples and we decided on a color plan. Fast Forward a couple weeks and they come back out and do the install. I think the end result came out great and really adds to the look of the interior and ties in the green to the interior, but as with all mods that's subjective, which is why I have the originals and it's returnable in 30 minutes or so.
