According to my dealer, the people that placed their orders early were the ones affected. My build date was in July, and I had the first 992 physically delivered despite them having received 12 cars before mine.

Default Still no news on battery

Spoke to service lead this week and still no confirmation from Porsche of their prior communication to dealer that batteries will arrive in week 40 (next week). Getting close to 2 months late - frustrating that there is no official communication stream to buyers. Mine was an early build which seems to line up with info elsewhere in the thread.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday. They are expecting the battery next week, but I don’t know if that is guaranteed.

So the first week of October is almost gone. Dealer now says mid Oct while my car sits outside at storage. It’s probably covered in bird **** now.

BYOB. I offered to buy a battery from Canadian tire but no go. So know they will include a free maintenance package with the car. 3k saved for the delay.

Oh man. I spoke to the GM on Wednesday, and he told me batteries were supposed to be hitting Toronto on Friday, so I was hoping for this coming week. I’m not happy now.

No tracking number. No battery.

I did find out the cars are stored in covered, heated, secure storage... so that’s a relief.

Drive by the storage area by the train station across the street. 992's sitting outside.

I am fully aware dealers will do what is in their best interest to maximize profit and buyers have to scrutinize their deals, but I am cautious about being directly lied to in response to a honest question. I trust my car is in covered storage. I swung by the outdoor storage lot by the train station, and it’s mostly cayenne, macan, panamera ... I saw one car that looked like a 992 cabrio, there was a security guard. I will be extremely upset if I find any any concrete evidence my car is not in covered storage.

yes ours could be inside. The ones at the outside lot might be for immediate delivery and waiting dealer prep. The ones that arrive now have no recall issues.

I'm just bitter reading everyone’s review and can’t drive my own car. The waiting game is getting to me now.
