Naturally aspirated 9A2 in GT4 - chance of 992 N/A special edition?

Indeed I have, also still have the 720S. My take on the RS is very positive. From a drivers perspective having 5000RPM to play with eg 4000 RPM to 9000 RPM allows for a lot of nuance and flexibility particularly in the wet. The engine feels very strong at the top end and in this range feels both responsive and flexible.
The real win is in the suspension set up, it feels quite different to the GT3 and .1 RS - I put this down to significantly higher spring rates paired to improved damping and reduced stiffness anti roll bars add to this the removal of all rubber bushings and the car feels very much like a track car albeit a supple one.
All in all a tour de force. Very glad I lucked out (it was a customer ordered new car that fell through) it has the clubsport pack which is s great starting point for me and it's intended use although I'm still waiting for the front half of the cage.
To be honest I'm blown away by how good it is 😀

Porsche has given ground in the HP wars as has been covered elsewhere, but they do counter by making the power they do have more usable than virtually anyone else. Enough so that in the end the power that makes it to the ground over a run is as much or more than high torque turbo cars with far more on paper hp and torque.
Glad you’re happy in any case, use in good health.

Thanks Pete - much appreciated.
I was also looking for an adequate word that effectively described the RS - I think that word is "immersive" why because as the driver you are the part that brings it all together, you feel connected to the car.
I do not get that from my 720S which delivers a very different experience to the RS. As in different good not different bad. The 720S and RS couldn't be more different but by the same token clearly reflect your commentary. The 720S is brutally fast, unrelentingly so whereas the RS is remarkably quick yet both cars are effective - which is the better track car? hands down the RS.
Having said that, if I had space for only two cars in my garage, they would be taken by the 991 II GT3 RS and perhaps surprising to some the 981 C GTS.
I think this thread as a whole is picking up on some of those themes e.g. connection to the vehicle, the experience as opposed to the speed, the engagement over the performance - all ultimately coupled to the difficult square that Porsche has to circle, sitting in a world where people are being progressively detached from the intimate sensations of life whether it be climbing a mountain on google or driving round the ring on an xbox.
Nothing compares to the reality.

According to the reliable RL sources, the 9A2 evo (or some variation thereof) will be in the boxster/cayman 6 (with less hp) and the 25th anniversary boxster and GT4RS (with more hp).

- 718
- 718 S
- 718 GTS
- 718 T
- 718 Spyder/GT4
- 718 "6" (?) is this the "touring" variant? normal roof for the boxster and no wing for the cayman?
- 718 25th anniversary/GT4RS (?)
Something like this?

That’s a lot of 718s. I can’t really see any reason they wouldn’t do a 992 with this engine.

According to this the 4.0 from the gt4 will not make it to the 992 911 - only the gt3 will see a NASP motor ^^
rumor was there would be a 992 T - recently that’s changed - hearing no 992 T.
