You get:
- overhead LED that illuminates the centre console
- the front door speaker grills are illuminated
- the front door bins are illuminated
- the door wells are illuminated
- each back seat is lit by light in side panel
- you can change brightness from the PCM
- you cannot change colour
I think the two overhead reading lights are standard ie not part of the light design package.
It does help you find things in the door bins and the back seats if it is set to 60% or more. Below that and it really is a bit subtle.
Its a nice to have rather than essential but I would spec it again unless Id hit the top of my budget.
apart from the first photo. These were all taken in the dark with no flash but with the light design pack setting at 100%. I usually have it set to 65%
The overhead ambient light
Bumping this thread because this little overhead ambient light drives me insane when driving in the dark and I can't figure out how to dim/turn off JUST this light. If I lower the brightness of "Interior Lights" it makes this overhead ambient light a lot darker, but it also darkens the center console so much that it's hard to see in the daytime (I've tried to separately adjust the center console brightness, but it still doesn't get very bright if the interior light setting is low). Am I missing a setting under "Ambient Lights" to turn this guy off, or at least make it a lot darker?
There is a setting under Vehicle. Lighting to turn them off since I recently did this since I like a dark cabin at night, which is why we are working on an eyelid for the sport chrono to eliminate the reflection. Just go in there and play around in the settings and you can turn them off. And I think you need to save the settings to the key so it does not revert back next time.

Thank you, I'll keep poking around in the settings!
