If I decide to stay with the Black Sport-tex, in your opinion, would wood trim be out of place?
I think the wood trim doesn't give enough contrast with the Black Sport-tex. In that car I would go with the Brushed Aluminum trim. It will add a third finish to the black leather and sport-tex fabric. It will complement the two tone fabric and deviated stitching and tie everything together.

Consider adding chalk seat belts.

Thanks, stealth! I like how the Brushed Aluminum trim works with the Sport-Tex.
I really appreciate your input!

I really appreciate all the different ideas on my interior. It really gave me clarity on what I really want.
If anyone cares to look at my final build it's: PLDQ3N45
Of course, if anyone has anything to add please let me know.
Thanks so much!

Very nice combo...looks great. Personal thing...consider keeping it clean and lose the 911 badge on the back bumper? For what it's worth, my eye sees a badge design that is a very square and "blocky", and somewhat in conflict with the overall smooth lines/shape of the car. Others will see it differently.

Love it. I'd stick with the 911 on back bumper. I happen to like the font, and it breaks up the bumper a bit. Also, I'd go with the aluminum/leather gear selector option. It's expensive at $750, but I really like the look. I'm waiting for the manual cars, but if I were to get a PDK car, I'd go with the optional selector.

Do you have a picture of this?

HI stealth, I like your recommendation on the Brushed Aluminum. Was wondering if you've seen it on the 992?
I'm hoping it's not too light and bright... On the configurator it looks nice but that's not always accurate.
I would hope it's more of a matte finish. Has anyone seen it?
Thanks

Dang it---wish that was available when I did my build, definitely would have gone for it.

I haven't but I'm pretty sure it's identical to the 991 brushed aluminum. This is the one trim at Porsche which is the real thing with no trickery. It looks like brushed aluminum and when you touch it, it feels like brush aluminum.

Looks like a solution for those who consider the normal shifter to look like a shaver. But for me the standard one looks infinitely better and also matches the rocker switches on the dash.

I conceptually like the idea of an aluminum and leather shifter, but they could have done something much better than this. They should have put the leather at the bottom to make it like a leather gaiter on the shifter, and then they should have made the whole shifter a brushed aluminum for a more industrial look.

I can see your point. It would be nice if the sides were all aluminum, giving it some contrast with the black surroundings. Still waiting for the manual cars to be announced. They're way overdue. I do enjoy perusing everyone's configurations and seeing the comments. I think it'll help me settle on a configuration once I'm ready to order. For instance, I wasn't considering the Sport-Tex seat centers, but after seeing Blue's interior, they've moved to the top of my list. Right now, I'm thinking Carmine with Sport-Tex and the same Classic wheels as Blue has. I'm glad this forum has changed from 992 bashing to an abundance of helpful information.
