I don't want to be the skunk at the garden party, but do you see the "allocation/price tbd" note? Fortunately, in CA, non-refundable deposit contracts are generally not enforceable.

Of course. There are no allocations available because the car is not in production yet or even announced and of course there is no MSRP yet. This receipt is only a means to document that I put down a deposit and I am on a "waiting list". And of course most of us know that the list is totally irrelevant, fluid and not enforceable anyway. It is what it is. I'm ahead of the next guy who walks in off the street and that it about it.
Yeah, not quite sure what that paper buys you. Not much. You may be slightly over the guy who walks in in 18 months.... or not depending on the market then.
You guys know there are lists and then there are the preferred clients. These folks are never on a list and have never placed a deposit. Thankfully Porsche has decided to crank out GT cars since everyone wants one now, so anyone who wants one will get one. But don’t expect to be first.

And those are the guys that you see driving one way before anyone else (at least the area I’m in) and this is one of many exotics that they own.
