My 992 is pretty much the same spec as his is apart from the colour..I pretty much agree with everything he says when comparing to the 991.2GTS...The 992 feels faster, handles better especially on turn in and also rides better at all speeds..Interesting to hear how much he really hates both the 992's PSE and Goodyear tires..

I am not surprised by his Goodyear comments. On my BMW the Goodyear F1’s were horrible compared to the Michelin Pilots and Pirelli P Zeros. They slipped much more and this brought their life down to ~7K miles for the set. The Michelin and Pirelli tires easily more than doubled this due to smaller scrub angles and quicker traction control recovery. Not competitive at all.

Didn't get anything out of that at all.
However, be careful of the Porsche driver training - its expensive and not particularly good in my experience. There is a very big difference between a good driver and a good coach. You are often far better off going to a local track and spending lots of seat time with the local pro, rinse and repeat at the next track. The best way to look at Porsche driver training is it is for those that are new to the brand and those that may take part in a few HPDE days pa.
Whinging about the tires is a waste of time - you have to simply learn to drive to the level of grip they offer and ensure you run under correct inflation for the conditions and repeatedly adjust to optimise. A poor work man blames his tools.........

I’m beginning to question whether PSE is worth the cost now.

I’m facing the same question too! The reviews regarding PSE appear to be mixed bagged. I’ve heard people saying it totally changes the sound of the car and I’ve also heard reviews like this one saying it’s not worth it. I ordered mine with PSE but I’m yet to hear one in person. Ever since 911s have gone turbocharged my opinion is that PSE is essential in such models. On the 991.2 the sound difference was very much noticeable

Ok, I'll put it another way it wasn't a great track review and doesn't seem to be a comfortable track driver - so perhaps a review to park.

Yeah ok his video´s seems to divide opinions... But he is a decent track driver, around 20 years of track driving including 300 something laps at Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Some people can drive a lot and never be comfortable round a track - and his comments on the tires........its simple, they are street tires. What did he expect? Chris Gebhardt gives really good track reviews - I look forward to that edition from Sport Auto. By the same token I do appreciate the fact he went to the effort, however, if he was really comfortable he would be calling many things e.g. trail braking and feel - weight distribution and movement, transition points in combos etc. Keep in mind this car, despite 450HP, appears to be slower than the outgoing 450HP car. Also keep in mind his review almost exactly parrots others? The implication being, on track, the changes aren't delivering a meaningful result. Why?
Autobild test review - Sachsenring
992 S 450HP - 1.32.36
991 GTS 450HP - 1.31.61
Why?
