PEC LA

PEC LA
I did the PEC LA yesterday. I opted for the 2s vs 4s option. My impressions:
They are so damn planted. I actually got motion sickness. I had to stop a couple times. It wrapped around the corners so quickly and planted. It was a little embarrassing I got sick. That was a first. Lol
They both are so fast from a dig. The launch control is so easy. Easiest I’ve ever tried. I will say that the 2s slipped a little during the 0-100mph run. Nothing significant, but a little. This was one of the main reasons why I did the experience. I wanted to see the difference between these 2 models with respect to straight line sprints. I will opt for the 4s for sure.
The kick plate module was really fun. The 4s had more control. It didn’t kick out as much. The expert said the front wheels pull the car forward to keep the car straight.
Other than that, they felt the same.
I was extremely impressed with this car. This experience confirmed my desire to get a 992. Now to finalize my options. This has been painful. Lol

Sounds like a great experience - I am planning to do the PEC ATL in the next two months. Did they use a 992 for your event or still on the 991.2? In ATL they said that they probably wouldn't be able to use the 992 until much later in the year.

Nice! how much was the experience?

No they didn’t have the 992. But if it’s anything like the 991.2 I drove, you’ll be just fine 😉 I highly recommend this experience to anyone seriously looking to get in to a Porsche for the first time, like me. You will be able to experience what this car is truly capable of, and how to justify spending so much on a car.

I took a 991.2 GTS out at the PEC LA back in February, figuring it would be close to the performance and handling I could expect from a 992 C2S. I came away thoroughly impressed with the GTS, and the experience as a whole. I especially liked the polished handling course, where you can easily get the car to oversteer by lifting off throttle mid corner, and then turn it into a balanced drift; a great way to hone your skills, while appreciating the precise, balanced handling qualities of a Porsche. I came away so impressed that I placed an order for my 992 C2S the next day.
