Not sure I'd say mass market, like a 9114S or a 911S. My winged PDK is one of about 935 in the U.S. To me that's fairly low volume.
Wasnt the Gt3 the most common 911 sold in recent years?

Not really Porsche were churning them out - they are not a limited run car.

For example in my market - currently on the major used car platform

18 - 991 GT3 RS
30 - 991 GT3
20 - 991 GTS (all variants)
39 - 991 S (all variants - cab, C4S, C2S)

so 48 991 GT units to 20 991 GTS units

Likewise for the Cayman

18 981 GT4 units to 2 981 GTS units

Currently considering a new 991.2 GT3 RS that has been offered to me at ~ 10% below MSRP.......................but will likely wait for the 982 GT4 or used .2 991 GT3 to gut for a tarmac rally car.

ED is the kicker, they know you’re less likely to walk if you don’t get MSRP compared to many GT3 buyers.
What dealership? I work with Porsche of the Mainline. We had/have a great relationship with them and I'm hoping I have better odds than your experience. My wife and I "starred" in one of their commercials and I just took him out to lunch yesterday to schmooze.

Used cars available says nothing about New production units. There’s no way that there were more GT3 produced than GTS.

There were a lot built and as a consequence there are a lot on the used car market. There was a good thread on US numbers for the 991 - check it out.

Remember that the GT cars are available across less years, so you may see more GT3s than GTS sold in 2018 but over course of the the 991 lifecycle I say nay.

Um where are you finding an RS 10% below MSRP? That seems like a bit of a unicorn. What's the story?

It looks like a number of RHD 2RS and 3RS hit my market without buyers - or buyers fell through. Also the bottom seems to have fallen out of the performance car market here. Add to that these cars cost twice as much here as they do in the US. I put it down to a confluence of events and the fact Porsche have been pushing them out in quantity.

What is the release date for the 992 GT3, summer of 2020? Also, how many model years will it have?

Wow, getting anxious already?! GT3’s have traditionally come out two years after the Carrera line-ups. I.E 2012 991 came out, we see GT3 in 2014 - 2016 MY.

991.2 GT3 was a 2018/2019...991.2 announced end of 2016/early 2017.

By this logic, expect 992 GT3 to show up as a 2022 model...probably announced in 2021. I’d say you’ve probably got at least a year and a half to wait. Enjoy the “standard” cars for awhile.......
