I have owned 2 Midnight Blue Metallic 997.1's. The color is truly unique, in the bright sunshine it has a tinge of purple to the midnight blue, a very deep purple that is part of the midnight blue pallet. The color is truly beautiful and unique. It is a very classy color and keeps clean much better than black. The new Night Blue (992) seems a tad darker, still nice but I rather have the Midnight Blue Metallic.

I have a Midnight Blue Metallic 997.1 and was going to get a 992 in the same but determined it was darker and wanted more pop, so I opted for Gentian, which under clouds and at night can seem dark and rich, but really pops in the sunlight.

Just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago…absolutely love NBM. It’s beautiful in the sun and dark/rich looking in the shade!

this NB (992) is the same NB as on the 991....and it is the same as on the VW GTI.

I know, I have had them all in NB (oh and a midnight blue 997)
