Anybody noticed, that the leather interior in the UK is free of charge, while in the rest of the world it comes with a price tag of about $4'000?

Full leather interiors have been standard in the UK since the 997. The base price here reflects that. Up until the 992 the alcantara headliner was also standard.

Interesting. Didn't know this. So could you delete option full leather in a 997 or 991? And was full-leather also standard in the GT3/GT2 line? Or could it be deleted there?

I had full leather in my first 991, and really glad to not have it in my second 991.

Full leather was standard and non-deletable on all UK 911s since the 997gen..The only 911s where full leather was not standard were 997GT3,RS and GTS. Same goes for the 991GT3,RS,GTS and GT2 RS..On all these it was an expensive extra cost option.
Interesting that Alcantara headlining was standard on all 991s but a cost option on the 992..I find this very weird.!

This. I always assumed the market demanded it. ie English competition had standard leather interiors, and Porsche wanted to make certain their cars were on the same level without the need for an option. Also, Alcantara headliners (excluding the pillars) was standard in the USA until the 992.

I always feel this is a way to conceal part of the price increase.

The UK 93,110 pounds starting price is equivalent to $121,798, so it's about $8,498 more expensive right off the bat than the $113,300 US starting price.
