Sat in the 992

Agree. I sat in the car at the LA Auto Show and one of the display vehicles had the Sport Tex. It feels nice, will keep you planted in the seat while cornering and does not look cheap at all. I prefer leather seats, but these Sport Tex seats are very nice.

To any of us...whether you'd like it for yourself or not...it looks great. To your next door neighbor, you clearly couldn't afford leather.

Nice photos. Thanks.
I am really looking forward to seeing the new interior in person. I liked the 992 on day one and I am liking it more as each day passes. Now if only it came with garage space.

I don't like the styling. The lack of round hood corners, which has been a Porsche design hallmark since the 356. The darth vader tail lights. And that pop-up door handle. I won't buy one. Just one man's opinion, don't shoot me.

Three Wheelin'
The square shut lines were due to return I suppose, last seen on the 996/986, but the norm since the 911 debut in ‘63.

One of the biggest drawbacks to a digital screen is that needle sweep is nowhere near as smooth as an actual physical dial. On a sports car, the rev counter has the most movement by far. The physical tach allows the gauge cluster to avoid that phenomenon. Replacing the analog tach with a digital gauge would cheapen the display considerably, IMO.

Cool to hear. I ordered this on my 992, its obviously on a hunch that I would like it. I have not been a fan of the Porsche leather seats over the years. Best seats that Porsche makes in my opinion are the 4 ways in the GT3, so went with 4 ways on my 992. thanks again

Disagree 100%.

I really, really, really want to like this car. BUT, no matter how hard I try it ain't happening. I guess I'm just an old out of touch guy!!
I think I'll be driving my 18 991.2 manual for a long time.

Yeah, exactly how I feel- was considering forgoing my 991.2 order to get one of these on order instead, but I just can't convince myself that this car is better in the ways I care about.

As I said earlier, thanks for the pictures.
Unsubscribed-the whiners are coming out. By the way, I didn't see the OP asking for opinions but I guess some people just can't control their sense of self importance.
