Hate to disappoint you, but with a currently scheduled completion date of the 29th - there was no way you were getting on the Compass. Best case is that your car wouldn’t get to the port until almost a week after completion. However, the way things have been going, I wouldn’t bet on that either.

You have time to get on the RCC Compass; it arrives on 3/29 and will need to be loaded. My car was completed four days ahead of schedule (3/16 instead of 3/20), and was at the port on 3/20. My TYD also shows departure on 4/7; certainly that is expected to be the RCC Compass.

Sir, thank you for the optimism. Although unlikely, my fingers are crossed

I wonder how the strike threatened for Monday (see the post from earlier today) will affect the timeline of the RCC Compass

^ The ship isn't supposed to arrive until Wednesday...maybe arrival is delayed a day if another ship has delayed departure because of the strike?

Edit: I think someone mentioned it is coming from Bremerhaven, so it will likely be delayed there by a day.

My car was scheduled to be done on 3-20... It's been pushed to 4-12...

The odds are highly unlikely for a car to be out of the factory and loaded onto a ship in four days - especially with all the reports of delays in the last two weeks. In the case the original comment was that they were hoping to be out of production and loaded on a ship on the same day... There's no way that's going to happen, especially now.

I think there's an outside chance; the delays are somewhat random. Some cars finish production, hit the port in a few days and are gone on a ship quickly. Others spend a couple of weeks in port and others take a lot longer to get to port and then spend months there. There doesn't seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason behind it.

Having caught a west coast ship 3 weeks ago, I'm pretty sure there is one boatload of cars delay headed to the west coast. In other words when you arrive at Emden, the next west coast ship is already booked full. For me it was 31 days in Emden.

Alright - things may be shifting again on TYD dates....

Woke up this morning to an e-mail from TYD that my T had completed manufacturing and moved to Step 5. As of yesterday it was showing the date for Step 4 to complete as April 12, so things are still very much in flux date wise.

For perspective:

Change Freeze - Was 2-20. TYD now showing 2-17
Schedule for Prod - 3-1
Production Started - Originally showed 3-8 Actual appears to be 3-13.
Production completed - Originally 3-20 - First TYD Update says 4-12. Actual date 3-26

Next state schedule:
Released for transport - 3-26
Arrived at German Port - 4-3
Left port of shipment - 4-3
Arrived at port of entry - 4-23
Arrived at PECATL - 5-15

My expectation is that I won't have my pickup until after Memorial Day.

We may be on the same boat. I got released for transport today, German port arrival 4/2, port of entry (JAX) 4/22. Definitely not expecting until Memorial Day.
