Good news is that we are on to step 3 and there is a VIN! Bad news is that the estimated delivery date "range" went back by 5 days.

Generally once a VIN is assigned one’s build typically enters production in 8-10 days.

I was assigned a VIN yesterday July 11th for my C2S. But, manufacturing doesn’t start until July 25th and won’t complete until an entire month later, Aug 26th. This seems unusual from what I’ve read

It varies… had two builds recently finished a week apart. It took one build five production days and the other three production days. Both were the same 911 variant and the options varied slightly. Note, production in Zuffenhausen is idle on Saturdays and Sundays.


They all come at once and are typically provided once production is completed.

You know, there was only a slight delay with TYD. My SA texted me and told me the car was in transit to the dealership, and within an hour or so TYD updated.
