992 Sport Design Package
#76
If you look at the 718 Cayman,
- the optional Sport Design front looks like the standard 992 front
- the standard front looks similar to the Sport Design 992 front
So don't let the words 'Sport Design' fool you into thinking the standard is necessarily inferior. Echoing what darknight26 said, the standard front and rear just integrates much better with the other design elements of the car. ex. the standard front was designed to integrate visually with the protruding lip of the frunk. The sport design just looks interesting bc we haven't seen it before, but its like trying to fit 991 cues into a very different design language.

I’ve seen the car in person. The Sport Design front looks MUCH better. The standard bumper doesn’t just have the gaping hole that’s polarizing. But it also has this really weird protruding line that stretches between thre two turn signals. It isn’t really evident in pics. However in person it certainly is. As for the rear bumper on the SD package, I like it’s shape better, as it makes the rear look less bloated. The side pieces are also available to be painted black instead of body color. Also the SD’s lic. plate area looks better as well as has a small diffuser look to it. For those saying the SD package makes the car look too much like a 991.2TT, I personally happen to think the 991.2TT is one of the most beautiful designs of any 911, so yes, similar...yet different enough that they wont be mistaken for the same car by diehards. To non-diehards, they think my 996TT looks brand new lol But regardless of whether you like the standard bumpers or the Sport Design bumpers better, it’s nice that there’s a choice and you can have the 992 that fits your personality better.

I think the SD rear is worlds better than the standard rear. I can't stand the weird low plate.

Thanks very much for sharing these photos 👍🏼 I agree with those who think the SD makes the car look so much better!
Ditto on this. I would very much like to see this as well. None of the press images have any vehicle equipped with SD.
The regular front has actuated flaps. Is it safe to assume the SD front would have the same?!
