GTS looks way better than 992

I am a 991.2 GTS owner. Yet I got to say the 992 is glowing more on me and make my 991.2 seems dated already. There are pieces that I don't like about it, like the rounder rear bumper, gear lever, and a few other minor things. I do appreciate most of the changes. I also don't think it is fair to compare the S to GTS. We can expect to see different wheels and sportier body on the 992 GTS. Visual is subjective, but the performance and tech upgrade alone should justify the 992 is >991.
I still need to see and drive the car in person to make my final verdict.

People on here are so dramatic. I love the 991 but after hours of staring at 992 pics and seeing the test cars in person the 991 is already starting to look a little bit dated to my eye. Will always be a beautiful car but 18 months from now everybody will be accustomed the 992.

If the 991 came out after the 992 what would it be then?

I love my 991.2 Targa GTS and would pretty much only replace it with another Targa because I just love the look and functionality of that format. Until that one is released there isn't really anything for me to think about. With the analog gauges combined with some of the new tech (aka Car Play) my current car is a pretty good balance of tech advances and Car Play is updatable.

I agree. Trying not to be biased because I own a 991.2, but for me the facelift made a huge improvement to looks. Enough for me to buy one. Forget the addition of turbos and mechanical upgrades. Just from a visual standpoint the 991.2 beats the first gen hands down. I have a feeling the same will be said of the 992.2 in four years time. The 997.2 was a massive improvement over the gen 1 997 and I bought one of those too. They seem to nail it mid cycle. Only time will tell. I like the 992. It makes sense. The visual cues are more homogeneous across the range but that is how brands work now whether we like it or not.

I find a few minor things objectionable with the 992. But overall, I like it just fine. And I have a 991.2 GTS being built in later in the month.
I pretty much liked the 911s since the very first one and while it sometimes takes me time to grow into the newly evolved changes, I always do, eventually.
But each to his or her own.

I swear, it is this way every time a new Porsche model comes out. 996 owners used to bash the 997 as being dated and step back . . . then we all purchased a 997 and swore it was the best 911 ever. Will be the same story with the 992 once they get here and people make the jump.
Just curious, are those so vocal against the 992 the same that are so vocal in the silly 991.1 and 991.2 threads? Screw all of you, the 997.2 is the best ever. The 991 and 992 are even lower than a 993. Perhaps the 998 or 999 will be step forward from the 997one day instead of all these bloated GT cruiser 991/992s.
