GTS looks way better than 992
I tried hard to like 992 but after looking at hours of youtube clips, I come to the conclusion that 992 just sucked, both exterior and interior. I dont even like the new door handles. they look flimsy and could break if I pull really hard.
The front is just atrociously bad.
I am not even going to mention the interior. Even the seats are horrible.
I think they intentionally made 992 ugly so they can clear the inventory of 991.
Just a laughable release of my dream car.
I was late to buy 991 and looks like I am going to miss 992 altogether.
Why would I spend 130k on an ugly car?

Personally I would wait and see it in person before relying solely on youtube...

All I can say is I'm with the OP and I just saw the 992 in person at the LA Auto Show. 991.2 looks much better than the 992, but just my opinion and know that others will feel differently. Maybe my opinion will change over time but for now that's where I'm at!

I find a few minor things objectionable with the 992. But overall, I like it just fine. And I have a 991.2 GTS being built in later in the month.
I pretty much liked the 911s since the very first one and while it sometimes takes me time to grow into the newly evolved changes, I always do, eventually.
But each to his or her own.

It seems they tried too hard to make it different than the 991.2 but if they did not people would complain that not enough changed. Nevertheless, when I compare the front end of the 992 to the 991.2 GTS I like the latter (did anyone notuce that in the background of the press release that showed pictures of past 911s they only showed the non-GTS front bumper) and the same goes for the rear end; the side view I can live with. Inside I like some of the 992 dash, mostly the passenger side, but I am not fond of all the screens. Finally, I love the way my GTS handles and the power/torque do not make me yearn for more thus I cannot see why I would want to have a 992 over the 991.2.

I love the new car. Front looks much more aggressive with the wider wheel arches. New headlights on the base are awesome, and back end looks good if you spec model designation delete and PORSCHE in black. Sport design mirrors will come soon and the GTS will have a different front end and huge HP. Not a fan of the flat consul, but i'll hold judgement till I see it in person.

People on here are so dramatic. I love the 991 but after hours of staring at 992 pics and seeing the test cars in person the 991 is already starting to look a little bit dated to my eye. Will always be a beautiful car but 18 months from now everybody will be accustomed the 992.

I am a 991.2 GTS owner. Yet I got to say the 992 is glowing more on me and make my 991.2 seems dated already. There are pieces that I don't like about it, like the rounder rear bumper, gear lever, and a few other minor things. I do appreciate most of the changes. I also don't think it is fair to compare the S to GTS. We can expect to see different wheels and sportier body on the 992 GTS. Visual is subjective, but the performance and tech upgrade alone should justify the 992 is >991.
I still need to see and drive the car in person to make my final verdict.

For many people the "tech upgrade" is a downgrade. Digital gauges, big touchscreen, wet mode (lol wtf!) And that kind of stuff, there are many out there who don't like it. So it's kind of "the tech upgrade alone should justify the 991 > 992", for some at least.

My thoughts exactly...at some point too much tech is just that, too much.

After driving a loaner Panemera Hybrid today I am agreeing that too much tech is not for me! I like some tech for sure. I think the 991.2 has just the right amount. The only thing I would have added is a PDR like GMs for track recording. There is just too much to do in the big screens of panemera which will be in the 992. My wife has a Range Rover SVR and that is my only complaint about that car as well. Just too much screen and too much stuff to control in the screen. I have no intention on trading for many years already, so does not really bother me too much. Will see how I feel about it in 4 years with 992.2
