No, no, no. It's not something we can just shrug away. This is now a very serious grudge match. Whoopsy and pietro and the other guy can either become Lord Commander of all Cleaning Ladies and Hand to the King, or be forever banished to The Wall, and sentenced to only drive electric cars.

I was in to purchase one of those launch car arriving at the dealer (Padova) for the presentation at the end of February; at the beginning I was told I could have made some changes on the preconfigured (2 x 2S and 2 x 4S) but then was not possible anymore. Exactly today the SA informed me about 4 x 4S arriving at the end of March, that can be reserved and fully customizable at the end of the month when the optional list and the price list will be available!
Where you from Pietro?

Yeah, now I'm thinking the world premiere will be at PEC LA. Maybe they're planning to do it like the 2nd gen Panamera debut. The world premiere was in Berlin before the auto shows: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/prod...lin-12585.html.
So, maybe we're all wrong and official premiere will be before both auto shows.........

^^^ Can't see that happening at PECLA when all of the world's journalists will the at the L.A. Convention Center for the other reveals on those days. Logistically they won't want to be in Carson for one car and miss the others up the road (that's 18 miles in LA traffic). I can see them doing the official reveal at convention center first and then having events at PECLA after that.

A friend of mine has been In Zuffenhauzen at the factory for 7 days and hasn't seen a single 992. Didn't Panorama suggest new cars would be produced starting in Oct?

Did the factory tour a couple of weeks ago. Saw 992 leather interiors and motors being made were delayed in the tour for the main line due to 992s being assembled. It's being produced!

Seems to be in line with what Autoweek published yesterday too: “The eighth-generation 911 will go on sale in Europe in early 2019, and will find its way stateside later that year.”

My local SA told me I'd get into a 992 "well before" a 718 GT4... but wouldn't commit to a date on either. The next 25 days will be rough.
I'm flying into LA with the wife and will take lots of pics of whatever is revealed.

The majority of SAs don't have a clue. Porsche has stopped sharing as much information with them because they leak it. The average guy/gal on rennlist knows more than most SAs. Seriously. ....and most RLs guys are just regurgitating circular reporting from the auto rags that just report on each other's "secret" conversations with sources from PAG. It's all just a joke.

We will know what is going on when Porsche announces the 992 and GT4.
