Default 992 at LA Motor Show

PM me if you're interested in an early entry ticket for the LA Autoshow on Sunday, December 2nd. All tickets are fully transferable and I won't need it anymore. Cheers!

Are we sure the 992 will be there?

Why do you think I'm giving away my ticket? ;-)

I've seen reports that it'll be there and that it won't .... and both ways people have acted like they are 100% sure. I love the internet.

There is a rumor that German dealers badly wanted the 992 end of this year, the initial planning was a December release and they were still rooting for it, even last month. Unfortunately the certification processes seem to be clogged up, so that's a bad sign.

Plus the people from Geneva camp are so vehemently of the opinion (Whoopsy being like "992 at Geneva & launch tour in South Africa. Let's just say I know enough people to know stuff") that I won't risk spending $2'000 to fly to LA from Zurich for no reason.

So, whoever wants the ticket, be my guest!

I think that's the safest choice . I'd do the same!

You'd spend $2K to see the car even if it was being shown??

Always found it odd they'd want to release a new generation in LA vs Europe.

Not going to be in LA.

992 will bow in Geneva in March 2019.

Perhaps they are scrambling to find a way to get rid of the nubbin in the PDK cars before it is too late... Just kidding - sort of...

Yeah, this has nothing to do with "certification" I'm sure.

It seems quite clear that this car was built for the Techie who loves to drive around playing with all the touchscreens while sipping a Venti sized latte from the huge cupholder. Also, with the fake exhaust tips and cheesy pop out door handles that look like Hollywood movie prop's I'd say they are right in the heart of their target market in LA!

I'm curious, what would be your perfect 992 (without mentioning all the things you don't like)?

...and like many things in LA, the 992 will quickly lose its luster and get kicked to the curb. Replaced by something newer and sexier.
