We have been working for years, almost twenty, to get more women involved in manufacturing jobs. Changing people's minds about these jobs is difficult as many have an old view of manufacturing. It's likely that this event is to make women aware of the exciting careers in the industry like CAD/CAM, robotics, augmented reality, simulation, big data, materials, design, and the list goes on. General Motors has done a great job of finding highly qualified women but more are desperately needed. At the current rate, buy 2025 there will be two million unfilled STEM-related jobs.

I was at LA PEC today.
Is The 992 being premiered at the LA PEC? They have a huge media setup there (looks like a concert staging area).
I asked someone who works there and they said a large media event was taking place?
What else could it be?

So I travelled to the USA for the premiere of the new Porsche 911. In my visa I stated as reason for entry: "I'm here for the new nine eleven."
