I agree that the 991 spoiler isn't great either, but this one is horrific. But that wasn't my point. IMO, the entire rear end is awful and doesn't look like a 911 at all. My personal opinion/preference and I don't think that would change merely because I saw it in person. I love organic designs and, except for the Mission E concept, Porsche seems to be moving away from them and toward busier, angular surfaces, which I think takes away from the classic Porsche ethos that I've always loved. Again, just my personal opinion. There are a lot of great selling cars out there that I don't like, and I'm sure this car will be a success.

While I totally disagree that it looks just like the 991.1, I agree that maybe only Porsche die hards would notice. Which is my point. This car will likely be polarizing to the hardcore 911 crowd, but Porsche really doesn't care. They're focusing on entirely new segments of the market and moving on from the die hard sports car crowd. They pretty much have to if they want to survive. Doesn't mean all of us will be (personally) happy about it. It also doesn't make the 992 just like the 991. It's not, inside or out. Aesthetically, the only thing remotely the same is the silhouette of the main section of the car. Front, rear and interior are going to be very, very different.

I agree. Getting in the way of VALUE, RESALE, and ADM talk.

If I get rid of my .2 GT3 it will not be for another Porsche so the 992 has no interest for me. It is a shame the direction they are heading but looks like Porsche is finally selling out. Yes- their sport cars are looking bigger, heavier, and more Gran Touring like. The only thing that has kept me with Porsche is NA engines and 3-pedals. Once those go there are other Manufacturers with better options, in my opinion.

To date, my hat goes off to Aston Martin who has taken a big leap forward with the design of the new Vantage. Will be interesting when they give it 3- pedals and more power to compensate for the weight if it does not go on a diet.
