I don’t know how they determine if you are local or not, or even what local is. It’s not like they checked my drivers license, although they know me from my GT4 so wouldn’t be necessary. I guess since I live in a relatively small Porsche community, everyone knows everyone else and that’s how they do it. your comment about housing is very true although I’d feel a little wierd parking a GT3 in the driveway of a house costing as much as the car. You might get some strange looks from your neighbors.
=====> we R in an internet based global economy, the word "local" no longer exist. it's as derogatory as the C word, N word, F word
15 years ago, if you follow analogue hi end, not man ppl can up air tangent ET2 on an oracle delphi, PLENTY of nuts shipped turntables world wide to CA for brooks to set it up. if the dealer is truly exceptional ppl will ship their car in for service. if you are using "local" as a way to protect territorial business b/c the dealer is generally lame, then........

I am inclined to think that there will be no great interest in 992.
Porsche pulled the rope a little too much with the 991 and I do not think that the NA engines are no longer produced.
I think there will be a small series and therefore everyone will think that maybe it will be the right time for the end of the engine aspirated, thus creating an infinite story but also disappointment in those who had hoped.
There is still meat on the fire and it's called 991.

From: The way to hell is paved by good intentions “Wenn ich Purist höre...entsichere ich meinen Browning” "Myths are fuel for marketing (and nowadays for flippers too,,,)" time to time is not sufficient to be a saint, you must be also an Hero
as much as they can they are reverting to great NA with GT3/RS.1 991.1R GT3/RS.2 GT3T and Speedster and even with manual
means they learnt the lesson
either if for regulators no more NAs, i dont think they will dare again with something so stupid like the 3.0 or the 2.5 4pots marketing koolaid because in the 60's...the 718...bla bla
if any 992 GT3/R/RS it will be spectacular and different enough to sell it again and again

Would it be better to just try to lower weight and use better, lighter materials on the next GT3 instead of adding more HP?? I'm NOT a fan of a bigger, heavier, sports car with loads of HP....I'll take a 150lb reduction anyday over a 15-20hp increase. I'm satisfied with 991.2 GT3, but if the next version comes out with 15hp more...not interested, BUT if they get it 100lbs less and in addition 15+ more hp than the .2 GT3, then it would be something worth to talk about.

I agree about the weight. Put some of that engineering genius to work and shave off some of that lead weight behind the wheels that is the insanely heavy stock exhaust. 150ish should be doable without any of the Weissach nonsense ($1000+ per pound saved lol)
