992 GT3 Speculation

I believe that new Speedster's engine with individual throttle bodies is what 992 GT3 is going to get.
"There's a very good chance we'll see this engine in the next 911 GT3, though Preuninger declined to confirm it definitively. Addressing the persistent rumor of the next GT3 going turbo, he did say "I don't see any reason" for ditching natural aspiration."

I think the next GT3 will be naturally aspirated as the execs have hinted, but will it get an electric assist? A hybrid 992 GT3 will still be NA. This will be 1st for Porsche if it happens; introducing a new power unit in a GT car before Carreras. Porsche have done some interesting twists in recent years, so anything is possible.

I’m 1000% sure the 992.1 GT3 will be pure NA, the 992.2 GT3 is more of a question mark, but likely still a pure NA car.

I expect the Turbo will be the first 911 to get an electric boost.

Latest video catching the mule driving at relatively slow speed in snow, still demonstrates the electric whine. No way this is aero. I also doubt they the put the hybrid powerplant in a GT3 mule to test for future Carreras. There is a video showing this whining and screaming mule testing at Nurburgring. My guess is this hybrid is the next GT3 and/or the next GT3 RS. I only hope for 10k+ rpm redline for the NA engine mated to the electric motors.

Can you provide a link to the video you're referring to, curious to hear what it sounds like.

My side mirrors whistle with PPF at 50 MPH + with right atmospheric conditions. That rear wing is not air tunnel optimized. Listen to the video I posted a few posts up, there is ZERO noise at low speed. Which is when a hybrid/regenerative system is most prominent/loud.

Just posting another vid where you can hear a slight whistle from the GT3 mule. I'm not wed either way to what this is, but thought the sound was interesting. See the Targa video below and skip to :50 and listen to the GT3 mule go by.

How many of the forum members that own a 991.2 GT3 are planning to “upgrade” to a 992.1 when it arrives? I placed a small waiting list deposit on a 992 GT3 at MSRP (dealer expects 2021/2022 MY) but really wonder if my current 991.2 GT3 will feel any less fun in 2-3 years time. Just curious how others are thinking about “trading up”.
