How would one go about doing donuts in the TTS? Do you put it in manual in 1st with traction control off and floor it? I’ve never done it - don’t know what happens - does it just bounce off redline? And if so - is that fine?

I am not sure how the transfer case would like this, but you do see videos of guys drifting large sweepers at race tracks…
Hold traction down to completely turn it off. Hold the brake down and jab the throttle a bit to bounce up the rpm, as rpm goes up pop the brake off, like you’re dumping a clutch and turn left or right.
Id probably not suggest doing this though, it’s an AWD car and your kinda bagging on it.

I’ve seen the Car Wow guy do it in videos. It’s not a very impressive procedure for an AWD car. Bums me out we can’t turn off AWD and go to RWD only like BMW M cars can. If you could do that, I imagine this car would do quite impressive donuts. Meanwhile I’m with Angryinh on not putting the car through that kind of stress. It can’t be good for it and you won’t be happy with the results anyway.

Three Wheelin'
The AWD system on the 992 is not a permanent AWD. It is mainly RWD unless the PTM system detects power needs to be transmitted to the front wheels. It is even more RWD biased in Sport+. This is why the TT/TT-S practically feel like RWD cars when driven on track, where they have good power-on rotation when coming out of corners instead of the dreaded understeer of traditional AWD cars. They can also be drifted easily by just adding a little more throttle. I find the AWD on the 992 to be very well engineered.
So to do a doughnut, put it in Sport+, hold the PSM button for a few seconds to turn it fully off, PDK in manual with 1st gear engaged, turn the steering wheel, and mash the throttle. Just ensure you have plenty of space not to hit anything.

@Spatia we got 30cm of snow and it’s -25c - you dreaming of donuts lol.
they have nice donuts at doughnut party, brewery district.
There is a drift practice Thursday night at rad torque raceway, I did it once back year ago in w204 c63. I might take the turbo out there to burn off the rest of these cup2s.

Yeah, unintentional donuts in this weather.
